Alright, so the other day I was playing Pokémon Shield, and I wanted to see what I could find on Route 6 in Galar. It had been a while since I last played, so I thought it would be a fun little adventure.
First things first, I grabbed my trusty bike and started pedaling my way to Route 6. The scenery was pretty cool, with all those rocky cliffs and that desert vibe. I made a mental note to come back later and explore every nook and cranny, but for now, I was on a mission to see what Pokémon were hanging around.

I started by checking out the tall grass, as usual. You never know what kind of critters you’ll find lurking there. I ran into a bunch of common Pokémon, nothing too exciting at first. But hey, gotta catch ’em all, right? So, I battled and caught a few, just to add to my collection.
- The first one I found is a cute Diglett!
- Then, I caught a wild Dugtrio.
- And there is a Silicobra, I battled it and caught it.
After I got my fill of the tall grass, I remembered reading something online about different ladders leading to different areas. So, I decided to be thorough and explore both the left and right paths. I started with the left, battled a few trainers, and found some items. Not bad, but I was really hoping for some rare Pokémon encounters.
Then I headed to the right side, following the path until I hit a giant stone arch. I was about to go through it, but then I remembered the online tip about taking the “true” rightmost ladder. So, I backtracked a bit and found it. Down I went, and guess what? More trainers to battle! I also stumbled upon some hidden items, which was a nice bonus.
There are a bunch of trainers waiting for a battle.
After exploring that area, I went back up and continued through the stone arch. It looked like I was getting closer to Stow-on-Side, the next town. But before I officially arrived, I took some time to explore the surrounding area. I found a fishing spot and spent some time trying to reel in some Water-type Pokémon. I caught a few, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Finally Arrived in Stow-on-Side
I arrived at Stow-on-Side. But my goal was not here, I just kept going. After I finally reached the end of Route 6, I felt pretty good about my little expedition. I didn’t find any super rare Pokémon, but I added a few more to my Pokédex, found some useful items, and got some good training for my team. Plus, it was just fun to explore a new area and see what I could find. I’m definitely planning on going back to Route 6 sometime soon. There are still a few areas I want to check out, and who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky and find a hidden gem.
