Alright, let’s talk about my recent adventure in Pokemon Go, specifically my quest to snag a Galarian Ponyta. It’s been a bit of a journey, so buckle up, and let’s dive into it.
Getting Started
So, first things first, I learned that these cute little guys don’t just pop up in the wild. Nope, you gotta be a bit more strategic than that. It turns out, they’re a bit shy and only come out of 7 km eggs. And where do you get these eggs? From gifts, of course! But there’s a catch – you need to have free egg spaces when you open those gifts. So, I started clearing out my egg inventory like there’s no tomorrow.

The Egg Hatching Marathon
Once I had those 7 km eggs, it was time to get walking. I walked around my neighborhood, visited parks, and even took a few extra trips to the grocery store, all in the name of hatching those eggs. It felt like I was walking a marathon, but hey, anything for a Galarian Ponyta, right?
The Moveset
While I was on my egg-hatching quest, I did some digging on what makes this Ponyta tick. I found out that the best moveset for a Galarian Ponyta is Psycho Cut and Play Rough. I made a mental note to keep an eye out for these moves once I finally hatched one. It’s good to know what you are working towards, you know?
Raid Battles
Then, I heard that Galarian Ponyta was appearing in Raid Battles. Score! This was another chance to catch one. So, I joined a few raids, battled it out, and kept my fingers crossed. I realized this was a chance, but it was already over. This Pokemon is a pure Psychic type, so it’s weak against Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type moves. This is very important in battle! Fortunately, there are so many strong Pokemon that I can use.
The Types
Speaking of types, I learned that Galarian Ponyta is a pure Psychic-type. That means it’s weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type moves. On the flip side, it takes less damage from Fighting and Psychic-type moves. It’s always good to know your strengths and weaknesses, especially in the Pokemon world.
Community Day
I also stumbled upon some info about a past Community Day event featuring Ponyta and its Galarian form. Apparently, trainers had a chance to evolve a Rapidash with the special move Wild Charge. I guess I missed out that time, but I’m so happy that it’s not a one-time thing. There’s always next time, and it’s something to look forward to!
The Payoff
After all that walking, raiding, and researching, I finally hatched a Galarian Ponyta! It was such a great feeling to see that colorful, fluffy mane appear on my screen. I quickly checked its moves, and it had Psycho Cut! Not bad, not bad. I’m still working on getting one with Play Rough, but hey, progress is progress.
What’s Next
So, what’s next on my Galarian Ponyta journey? Well, I’m still hatching those 7 km eggs, hoping to find another one with that perfect moveset. And I’ll keep an eye out for any future events or Raid Battles that might feature this adorable Pokemon. Plus, there are still a lot of other Pokemons waiting for me.
It’s been a fun ride so far, and I’m excited to see what other adventures await me in the world of Pokemon Go. Catch you all later!
