Okay, so, let’s talk about the end of the Valorant season. I’ve been grinding hard this season, and now it’s time to see how it all wraps up.
First off, I needed to figure out when this whole thing was ending. The in-game timer said Episode Nine, Act Two was wrapping up on October 22, 2024. That’s what I was aiming for.

I started digging around to see what happens when a season ends. I found out that each season lasts a whole year, split into six acts. I realized that my rank will reset at the start of Season 2025, which kicks off on January 8 in the Americas and January 9 everywhere else.
So, I jumped into the game and started checking out the updates. I noticed they mentioned some general changes. It looks like they’ve been working on making explosions from agents like Raze, Sova, and Gekko more consistent. The biggest thing seemed to be fixing issues where Raze’s Showstopper wasn’t doing damage when it clipped into walls. Good to know, since that’s been a pain point for me.
While playing, I also saw that Episode 8 Act 3 was just starting. I figured that meant a bunch of new stuff was coming. I kept an eye out for balance changes and any new maps that might pop up. It’s always exciting to see what they add and how it changes the game.
- Checked the in-game timer: Found out Episode Nine, Act Two ends on October 22, 2024.
- Researched season end: Each season is a year, six acts, and ranks reset at the start of Season 2025 (Jan 8/9).
- Noticed general updates: Explosions from Raze, Sova, and Gekko are more consistent.
- Saw Episode 8 Act 3 start: Expecting new balance changes and maybe new maps.
With all this info, I made sure to play as much as I could before the season ended. It’s always a mad dash to get those last few ranks in. Now, I’m just waiting for the new season to start to see what’s new and how my rank turns out after the reset.
What I Learned
The biggest thing I learned was how the seasons and acts work. It’s pretty cool that they split it up like that, gives you something to look forward to throughout the year. Plus, those general updates to make explosions more consistent are a big deal. And of course, the start of a new act means fresh content, which is always a good thing.
All in all, it’s been a wild ride this season. Can’t wait to see what the next one brings. Time to get back in there and start grinding again!
