Okay, so I wanted to get in on this Midyear Mayhem thing in ESO for 2024. I’d heard about it before, but never really jumped in. This time, I figured, why not? So I logged in, ready to go.
First thing I did was look up when it was even happening. Turns out, it starts on July 25th, 2024, at 10 AM EDT, and goes until August 6th, 2024, at 10 AM EDT. Good, I still had time to get ready. I marked it on my calendar, so I didn’t miss it.

Then, I dug into how to actually get those Event Tickets. I found out you can get up to three each day. Two of them come from doing your first Cyrodiil or Battlegrounds daily quest. That could be any of those Bounty Board quests, those Town Dailies, the Conquest Board quests, or the daily Battlegrounds one. I do those almost every day, so I figured I’d be good.
I did a bit more reading and found out that in the past, there was this thing called the “Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity” that you got after completing the opening quest for the event, which used to be called “Midyear Mayhem” but is now called “Whitestrake’s Mayhem”. I don’t know if they still do that, but it sounded cool.
Getting Ready for Battle
Since it’s all about PvP, I spent some time making sure my gear was up to scratch. I mostly play PvE, so I had to switch some things around. I checked my skills, too, and made some adjustments. I wanted to be ready to take on other players without getting totally destroyed right away, you know?
Jumping into the Mayhem
- July 25th finally rolled around, and I was pumped. I logged in right at 10 AM EDT.
- Headed straight to Cyrodiil and picked up a Bounty Board quest. Finished that up.
- Then I did a Battlegrounds match. Didn’t win, but hey, I got my tickets!
- Kept this up every day. Some days were better than others, but I managed to get my three tickets each day.
It was a blast! I’m not usually big on PvP, but this event made it super fun. I’ll definitely be doing it again next year. Maybe I’ll even get good at it by then!
