Okay, so I’ve been grinding it out in League of Legends for a while now, and let me tell you, the mid lane is where it’s at. It’s like the heart of the whole operation, you know? If you mess up there, the whole team feels it. So, I wanted to get really good at it, to become a top-tier mid laner.
First thing I did was watch a ton of pro games. I mean, hours and hours of watching the best of the best duke it out in the mid lane. I picked up on their tricks, their movements, how they controlled the minion waves, everything. It was like a masterclass, and I was soaking it all up like a sponge. This phase is not easy at all, because I was kind of tired of playing and wathcing games after work. But eventually I made it through.

Then came the practice. I started playing a bunch of different champions, trying to figure out which ones fit my style. Some were all about that burst damage, others were more about poking and chipping away at the enemy’s health. I experimented with different builds, different runes, everything I could think of. And in this process, I found several funny or even ridiculous strategies that can actually be used. I kept trying and practicing them and I got familiar with these strats now.
- I learned how to freeze the lane, making it super hard for the enemy to farm.
- I got good at roaming to other lanes, ganking the enemy top or bot and helping my teammates get ahead.
- I even started paying attention to the minimap more, trying to track the enemy jungler and avoid getting ganked myself.
It was a grind, no doubt. There were games where I got absolutely destroyed, games where I made stupid mistakes that cost us the win. But I kept at it, I kept learning, and slowly but surely, I started to see improvement. Now I can say that I won many matches and I am a good mid laner now.
Now, I’m not saying I’m the best mid laner in the world or anything, but I’m definitely holding my own. I can carry games, I can make plays, and I’m not a liability to my team anymore. And the best part is, I’m having a blast doing it. So, if you’re thinking about trying to up your mid lane game, just remember: it takes time, it takes effort, but it’s totally worth it in the end.
The journey to become a top-tier mid laner is ongoing, and there’s always more to learn. But I’m committed to it. I know that with continued dedication and practice, I can reach even greater heights. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll be the one inspiring others with my mid lane prowess.
