Okay, let’s talk about the time I tried to snag a shiny Granbull in Pokémon Go. It was a journey, let me tell you.
So, I started my quest for this elusive shiny by first trying to figure out where these guys usually hang out. From what I gathered, shiny Pokémon appear in the same spots as their regular versions. Made sense. So, I headed to locations where I’d normally find Granbulls.

Now, I knew getting a shiny was a long shot. They’re super rare, and there’s no real trick to it. But I heard that certain things can increase your chances, like using a lure or having a shiny charm. I made sure I had both of those going for me.
- Used a lure at a PokéStop
- Equipped my shiny charm
I remember reading somewhere that finding a large patch of grass, like a 5×5 tile area, could be helpful for chaining. So, I scouted for a spot like that and settled in.
Days turned into weeks, and still no shiny Granbull. I started to get a bit discouraged, but I kept at it. I mean, I had already invested so much time, right?
Then, during one of those special events, I think it was a Community Day, I decided to give it another shot. These events usually boost the chances of finding shiny Pokémon, so I was hopeful.
And guess what? After countless encounters, my persistence finally paid off! I stumbled upon a shiny Snubbull. I was so stoked! I immediately evolved it into a shiny Granbull. It was totally worth the effort.
I learned that shiny Granbull has this cool moveset, Charm and Play Rough, which is apparently pretty good. And its max CP at level 50 is something like 2,885, not too shabby. It’s also strong against Fighting types, which is useful to know.
So yeah, that’s my story of how I got my shiny Granbull. It was a grind, but it taught me a lot about patience and persistence in Pokémon Go. Plus, I ended up with a pretty awesome Pokémon!
