Alright, so I’ve been grinding away at MLB The Show, specifically that Conquest mode. Let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I remember first starting, kinda confused about what to do.
So, basically, Conquest is like this big strategy game within The Show. You start with a stronghold, and your goal is to take over the map by conquering territories and other teams’ strongholds.

I jumped in, not really knowing what I was doing. I started with that Shark map everyone’s talking about, ’cause, who doesn’t want those sweet hidden rewards? They’re not lying when they say it’s packed. We’re talking 13 Show packs, six Diamond Duos packs, an Alter Ego choice pack, and a bunch more. It’s insane.
First thing I learned, conquering is key, especially early on. Like, in those first few turns, you’re only getting a few reinforcements. So, I started by simulating a few of the territories next to me to take them over. I noticed that I was getting more fans each turn for each territory I controlled, which was cool.
Next, I went after some of the weaker nearby teams, trying to steal their fans. It’s kinda like a tug-of-war, you know? You’re trying to build up your fan base while weakening theirs. I kept doing this until I controlled a good chunk of the map.
- Conquer territories.
- Steal fans.
- Build up your stronghold.
The more I played, the more I realized how important it is to fortify your stronghold. I started dumping more fans into it, making it harder for other teams to take it from me. I’m not gonna lie, it was slow going at first. But then, around turn 20 or so, things started to click. I was getting way more fans each turn, like 20-30, and I could just steamroll through territories, simulating battles and winning easily.
My Strategy
Honestly, it took me a while to get the hang of it. I’d say a good 8-10 hours, maybe even more. Some people are faster, some are slower. There were times when I wanted to throw my controller, but I kept at it. And you know what? It was worth it. The rewards are awesome, and there’s this sense of accomplishment when you finally conquer the whole map.
So, if you’re thinking about diving into Conquest, my advice is to be patient, learn from your mistakes, and don’t be afraid to experiment. It’s a grind, no doubt, but a fun one. Now if you don’t mind, I’ve got some more territories to conquer. Wish me luck!
