Okay, so I’ve been seeing all this buzz online about Leon Kennedy possibly coming back to Fortnite, and I just had to jump in and try things out for myself. I mean, who doesn’t love Leon, right? He’s a total badass from the Resident Evil games, and I used to spend hours playing those back in the day.
I remember when he first dropped in the Fortnite Item Shop, I snagged him up quicker than you can say “zombie apocalypse.” I think the last time he was in the shop was in April 2024. He has been listed 22 times. It’s been quite a while, huh? Anyway, I fired up Fortnite this morning, ready to see what’s what.
Scouting the Item Shop
First thing I did was check out the Item Shop, obviously. No sign of Leon, but there were a bunch of other cool skins. I even saw some rumors online about potential new Leon skins if he does make a comeback. Epic Games, if you’re listening, we need these skins!
Digging for Clues
Next, I spent a good chunk of time scouring the internet for any hints or leaks. I checked out all the usual Fortnite leaker accounts and fan forums. There’s a lot of speculation, but nothing concrete. Some folks are saying it’s unlikely he’ll return, while others are holding out hope. It is said that Leon and Claire from Resident Evil 4 might be added to Fortnite. I also found that the reason why Leon was late to Raccoon in RE2 was that he got drunk after breaking up with his girlfriend. This man has always been an alcoholic.
Waiting Game
So, after all that, I guess it’s just a waiting game. I played a few rounds, trying out some different characters, but it’s just not the same without Leon. I even tried roleplaying a bit, pretending I was back in Raccoon City, fighting off hordes of the undead. It was fun, but it mostly just made me miss Leon even more.
Fingers Crossed
I ended up spending the rest of the day just chilling and hoping for some good news. I’ve got my fingers crossed that Epic Games will bring him back soon. Until then, I’ll just keep checking the Item Shop every day and dreaming of the day I can run around as Leon Kennedy once again.
