Okay, so I’ve been digging into this Madden 24 thing, specifically about how training points work. You know, those points you use to beef up your players in Ultimate Team? Well, I finally got around to messing with it myself, and let me tell you, it’s a bit of a grind but totally worth it when you see your team dominating.
First off, I started by playing a bunch of those single-player challenges. They’re pretty straightforward, and you rack up training points just by completing them. I also jumped into some online games, and yeah, winning helps a lot, but even when I lost, I still got some points. It’s like, the game rewards you for just showing up, which is cool.

Then, I noticed that opening packs also gives you training points. It’s kind of a gamble, though, because you don’t always get a lot. But hey, free points are free points, right? So I was opening packs whenever I could. Sometimes I got lucky, sometimes not so much.
My Training Log
Here’s a bit of what I found out about the training values:
- 98 OVR players – these guys need a whopping 410,000 training points to max out. It took me ages, but I finally got one of my wide receivers up there.
- 99 OVR players – now, these are the real deal. You need 650,000 training points for one of these beasts. I haven’t gotten anyone there yet, but I’m working on it.
I spent hours grinding, playing games, completing challenges, and opening packs. It was a lot of work, but slowly but surely, I started to see my team getting better. I leveled up my quarterback first, then focused on my defense. Seeing their stats go up was super satisfying.
The other thing I did was quicksell some players I didn’t need. This gives you training points instead of coins, and it’s a good way to get rid of duplicates or lower-rated players. I was pretty ruthless with this, quickselling anyone who wasn’t making my starting lineup. And it helped me a lot to get more points.
So, after all that work, I’ve got a pretty solid team now. I’m not at the top of the leaderboards or anything, but I’m definitely holding my own in online matches. It feels good to see all that effort pay off. I learned that you gotta be patient and just keep at it. And honestly, it’s pretty fun once you get the hang of it. Madden 24, you got me hooked!
