Alright, so today, I’m diving into something that’s been on my mind lately: the Leviathan Axe in Fortnite. You know, that cool-looking pickaxe from the God of War game? Yeah, that one. I wanted to figure out just how much this thing is worth in the game.
First off, I jumped into the game to check out the Item Shop. I’ve been eyeing this axe for a while now, and I finally decided to get down to it. From what I saw, there are a couple of ways to grab this bad boy. You can either snag it solo for 1,000 V-Bucks, or you can get it as part of the Kratos Bundle, which sets you back about 2,200 V-Bucks. Not too shabby, right?

But I wanted to dig a little deeper. So, I hit up some forums and gamer websites. It turns out, this axe was first introduced way back in Chapter 2, Season 5. It’s part of something called the Oathbreaker Set. Kinda has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?
- Option 1: Buy the Leviathan Axe alone for 1,000 V-Bucks.
- Option 2: Get it with the Kratos Bundle for 2,200 V-Bucks.
Now, here’s where it gets a bit more interesting. I found out that to really max out this axe’s potential in its original game, God of War, you gotta go on a little side quest. You need to find this thing called the “Chilling Mists of Niflheim,” take it to some blacksmith at the start of an area, and then buy a “Frozen Flame.” Sounds like a bit of a hassle, but apparently, it’s worth it. It boosts the axe’s damage and even gets you a trophy on PlayStation.
Back to Fortnite, though. I was curious about the price in real-world money. So, I did some quick math. If 1,000 V-Bucks are roughly around 8 bucks, then the axe by itself is about that much. But if you’re going for the bundle, you’re looking at close to 18 bucks. It all depends on how much you value those extra goodies in the bundle, I guess.
My Thoughts
Honestly, it’s a bit steep for a virtual item, but I get the appeal. It’s a “Gaming Legends Series” item, which makes it kinda exclusive. Plus, it’s got that whole tie-in with God of War, which is pretty awesome if you’re a fan of the series like me.
I’ve also noticed that this axe is pretty popular among players. It’s got a sleek design, and it’s not every day you see a crossover item like this in Fortnite. Seems like it’s a must-have for some folks, especially those who love collecting rare items.
So, there you have it. That’s my little adventure in figuring out the worth of the Leviathan Axe in Fortnite. Whether it’s worth the V-Bucks or not, it’s definitely an interesting item with a bit of a story behind it. I’ll probably end up getting it eventually, just for the cool factor. What do you guys think? Worth it or not?
