Alright, so, I just dove into this “Overwatch 2” thing. What a ride! First thing’s first, I waited in a queue. Man, it felt like forever.
Finally, I got into the game’s lobby. Phew! Then, I queued up for a real game.

- I started messing around with the First Time User Experience (FTUE) thing. They make you do this tutorial.
- It’s basically a bunch of quests. I learned about the maps, the different game modes, and all those heroes with crazy abilities.
- Then, I found out I had to win 50 Quick Play matches. 50! I guess it’s to make sure I’m not totally clueless, and they can match me with people who are as bad or as good as I am.
I started grinding through these matches. It’s been a while since I played one of these team-based first person shooter. To gain XP, I tried my best to finish daily and weekly quests. And then, I found the XP is related to time in match and post-match bonus.
Since I used to play other shooting games, I tried out Cassidy, Soldier 76, and Baptiste first. My aim was okay, so it wasn’t too bad. I also tried Mei, Moira, and Reinhardt. They were pretty easy to get the hang of because you don’t really need to aim much. I just rushed into enemies and hit them all.
To improve my aim, I followed some tips online. I focused on aiming for the shoulders, not rushing my shots, and just tried to hit every single one. It’s a slow process, but I’m getting there. I spent like 10-15 minutes in the practice range, then took a break and played a quick play game, just kept alternating like that.
All in all, it’s been a pretty fun, though sometimes frustrating, experience. I’m still learning the ropes, but I’m slowly getting better. I managed to unlock a few new heroes, and I’m starting to understand the game a bit more. It’s definitely a grind, but it’s been worth it so far. I’ll keep playing, keep learning, and maybe one day I’ll actually be good at this game!
