Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another setup guide, this time for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in F1 23. I gotta say, Jeddah is a real beast of a track – the fastest street circuit on the calendar, and man, does it feel like it! I spent a good chunk of time this week tinkering with the car, trying to find that sweet spot for both qualifying and the race. It wasn’t easy, but I think I’ve nailed down a pretty solid setup that I’m excited to share.
So, first things first, I jumped into the game and headed straight to the practice sessions. From the main screen, I went through the usual motions, picked the Saudi Arabian GP, and checked out the weather reports and all that jazz. I started with the default setup, just to get a feel for the track again. Jeddah has these long, sweeping corners and crazy straights, so you really need a car that can handle both without sacrificing too much on either end.

After a few laps, I started messing around with the suspension. It was a bit of a back-and-forth, I’ll be honest. I ended up maxing out the Front Suspension to 41. Sounds crazy, right? But trust me, it really helps keep the front end planted, especially through those high-speed turns. Then I played with Front Camber and Rear Camber, set them to -3.2 and -1.70. For the Toe, I went with 0 for Front Toe Out and 0.15 for Rear Toe In. Seemed to give me the best balance between stability and responsiveness. I tested it on practice and qualifying both, and I even managed to improve my lap times a little bit.
The biggest challenge was definitely finding the right balance for the race. You want to be quick, obviously, but you also need to manage tire wear. Those long straights can really eat up your rubber if you’re not careful. I spent a few more hours in practice. I used to tweak the settings after each practice session. I would tweak it, then do another session. Through all that tweaking, I finally found a setup that felt good and allowed me to push hard without destroying my tires in the first few laps.
I put my setup to the ultimate test in a full race simulation. It was a blast! I started somewhere in the middle of the pack, but I was able to make some good overtakes and climb my way up the standings. The car felt fantastic, especially in the later stages of the race when the tires started to degrade. I could still push hard and maintain a good pace. I think I ended up finishing on the podium, which is not bad considering I’m no Max Verstappen!
My Final Tweaks
- Front Suspension: 41
- Front Camber: -3.2
- Rear Camber: -1.70
- Front Toe Out: 0
- Rear Toe In: 0.15
This setup may not work for everyone, but it definitely worked for me. I hope this helps you guys out. Good luck, and happy racing!
