So, I’ve been digging into this “VCT Pacific schedule” thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a wild ride. I’m not a pro or anything, but I wanted to get a better handle on what’s going on with this Valorant Champions Tour, especially since I heard Evil Geniuses took the crown last time. Makes you wonder what’s up for this year, right?
First off, I had to figure out what VCT even stood for. Turns out it’s Valorant Champions Tour. Fancy name for a bunch of folks playing a video game, but hey, it’s serious business. Then I found out that the Pacific region’s schedule is kicking off right after the new year. That’s soon! And it’s not just about bragging rights, they’re playing for a piece of a $250,000 prize. That’s a lot of dough!

I started looking into the teams and it seemed a bit of mess. DetonatioN FocusMe, for example, they were letting go of players named like neth, Anthem, and Medusa. Sounds like a soap opera, honestly. I did find out that there are 11 teams in the VCT Americas, and they’re going to play in some kind of a round robin thing. Five weeks of regular games, with one “Super Week.” I’m not sure what a Super Week is but it sounds tiring.
The matches in the Pacific are supposedly happening every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at 5 PM SGT. I had to look that up – it’s Singapore time. I made a note of that and thought that I should probably bookmark that.
From there I went to see if the format had changed from last year. Nope, still the same. Seems like Riot Games, whoever they are, like to keep things consistent. I guess that’s good for the players, less to adjust to and figure out from scratch.
Anyways, I jotted all of this down and started to piece together a rough schedule in my notebook. It’s not pretty, but it’s something. I figure if I keep at it, maybe I’ll actually understand what’s going on when the matches start. It’s a learning process, you know? And who knows, maybe I’ll even start to enjoy watching these games, even if I’m just a casual observer.
So that’s where I’m at with this whole VCT Pacific schedule thing. It’s a bit overwhelming, but I’m taking it one step at a time. I’ll keep digging and see what else I can find out. Maybe I’ll even make some sense of it all by the time the matches roll around.
