Marvel Snap, this game, let me tell ya, it’s a fun one. In the beginning, we all start with Pool 1 cards. These cards, well, they’re the first ones you get when you just start playing. Now, folks always ask, “What’s the best deck in Pool 1?” Well, sit tight, I’m gonna tell ya what I know.
First off, Pool 1 cards are what you get between Collection Level 18 and 214. You can unlock about 46 cards in this range. Now, don’t you worry if you don’t get the cards you want right away. It’s all random, so you just keep playin’ and you’ll get ’em eventually.

Now, some of the best cards in Pool 1, well, lemme tell ya:
- Angela – She’s one of the strongest. You put her down, and every time you add a card to her location, she gets stronger. Good for building up power.
- Iron Man – He doubles your power at his location, which can really turn the tide if you’re fallin’ behind.
- Spectrum – Now, this card, she boosts all your cards with ongoing abilities. If you’ve got a lot of ongoing cards, she’s a lifesaver.
- Odin – He’s real good with on-reveal cards. When you play Odin, he triggers the abilities of all your other on-reveal cards again. Can really pack a punch.
- Ka-Zar – He’s great for decks with lots of 1-cost cards. He boosts all of ’em, makin’ them stronger. Pair him up with Ant-Man and you’ll be doin’ just fine.
- Blue Marvel – He’s good because he boosts all your cards, just like that, givin’ ya more power across the board.
Now, if you wanna win more games in Pool 1, you gotta know how to use these cards together. Lemme give ya some simple deck ideas. One strong deck is called the “Kazoo Deck.” Yeah, funny name, huh? Well, it’s named after Ka-Zar, who, like I said, boosts all your 1-cost cards.
In this deck, you’re gonna want cards like:
- Ant-Man
- Squirrel Girl
- Ka-Zar
- Blue Marvel
- Iron Man
Now, the idea with this deck is to fill up your locations with them low-cost cards and then use Ka-Zar and Blue Marvel to make ‘em stronger. Ant-Man gets real powerful if you’ve filled up his location, so keep that in mind.
Another good deck is the Odin-Reveal deck. This one focuses on using cards with on-reveal effects, and then you play Odin to trigger ‘em all again. Some good cards for this deck include:
- White Tiger – She adds a 7-power Tiger to another location when you play her.
- Odin – Like I said, he makes all your on-reveal cards trigger again.
- Ironheart – She gives 3 other cards +2 power when she’s revealed.
When you use this deck, you wanna save Odin for the end of the game, and then let all them abilities trigger again. It can really mess with your opponent’s plans.
Now, not all cards are great in Pool 1. There’s a few that you might not wanna use too often. For example, Domino ain’t all that great. She always shows up on turn 2, but her power’s not that impressive. Same with Morph, he’s too random for my liking. You never know what you’re gonna get, and it might mess up your plans.
So, when you’re just startin’ out, focus on the good cards I mentioned and build your decks around them. Keep playin’, keep unlockin’ more cards, and soon you’ll be movin’ up to Pool 2, where you’ll get even more powerful cards to play with. But don’t rush it, take your time and enjoy the game.
And remember, even if you don’t win every game, it’s all about havin’ fun. Keep experimentin’ with different decks, and soon enough, you’ll find what works best for you.
