Alright, so, I wanted to get some free stuff for Overwatch 2. You know, like skins and other cool things. I heard about these things called “Twitch Drops” that you can get just by watching streams. So I looked into it, and here’s what I did.
First, I noticed that there were some Winter Wonderland drops happening between December 21, 2024, and January 7. I figured I could get some of those. Then, I saw something about the Calling All Heroes Championship broadcasts from February 2 to February 4, so I marked that on my calendar too.

I learned that to get these drops, I needed to watch Twitch streamers playing Overwatch 2. It sounded easy enough. I just had to watch for a certain number of hours, up to 15 it said, to get all the rewards. I found some streamers I liked in the Overwatch 2 category on Twitch and started watching.
Here’s what I did step-by-step:
- I went to Twitch and found streamers playing Overwatch 2.
- I made sure my game account was linked to my Twitch account. There was a message that popped up and helped me do this. It was pretty straightforward.
- I watched the streams.
- Whenever I earned a drop, I had to go to my Twitch inventory and claim it. You can’t earn more drops on the same stream until you claim the ones you already got.
- I kept track of my progress by clicking my profile picture on Twitch. There was a progress bar that showed how close I was to getting the next reward.
The Waiting Game
After claiming the drops on Twitch, I had to wait a bit for them to show up in my game. It said it could take up to 24 hours, sometimes even 48 after the whole event ended. So I waited and then I watched some more and claimed the drops. I did not get all the drops on the first try but I got some.
Honestly, it was pretty simple. I just watched some streams, clicked a few buttons, and waited. Now I’ve got some new stuff in Overwatch 2 without spending any money. It’s not a bad deal if you ask me.
So yeah, that’s how I got my Overwatch 2 Twitch drops. It was easy and I got some cool stuff for free. If you play Overwatch 2, you should definitely check it out. Just make sure your accounts are linked and you claim your drops on Twitch. Happy gaming!
