Alright, let’s talk about this “Ring of the Pale Order” thing in ESO. I’ve been messing around with it, and I gotta say, it’s been a bit of a journey.
So, first off, getting this ring is no walk in the park. You need to have your Scrying skill at level 7, which means hours of digging around for leads and treasures. I spent a good chunk of time just leveling up that skill, running around all over Tamriel like a headless chicken, trying to find those dig sites. But hey, it’s part of the grind, right?

Once I got Scrying to level 7, then the real fun began. I had to hunt down five different pieces of the ring, scattered in different zones. Each piece had its own lead, which meant more Scrying. I remember spending hours in the Alik’r Desert, then hopping over to Wrothgar, and even diving into some old ruins in Bangkorai. Each location had its own challenges. I fought off some nasty critters, solved a few puzzles, and even had to do some serious climbing. It was a real adventure, I tell ya.
One of the pieces, I think it was the “Auric Tusk,” was particularly annoying. I had to join a public dungeon group in Wrothgar, and man, that place was crowded. We wiped a couple of times on some bosses, but eventually, we managed to get through it. The tusk dropped, and I was like, “Yes! Finally!” But then, another piece required me to go to a World Boss in Reapers March – the Big Ozur, and it’s really tough.
After what felt like forever, I finally had all five pieces. The next step was to put them together. I went to a jewelry crafting station, combined the pieces, and bam, there it was – the Ring of the Pale Order. I equipped it right away, eager to see what it could do.
The ring’s main perk is that it heals you for 20% of the damage you deal, but it also reduces your healing received from other players. So, it’s really meant for solo play. I started testing it out, and I gotta say, it’s pretty awesome. I could take on tougher enemies and survive much longer than before. I even managed to solo some world bosses that I couldn’t handle before. Also, I found some interesting builds like “4 piece Clever Alchemist + Ring of the Pale Order” on the Internet, maybe I will try it later.
I’ve been using the ring in all sorts of places – normal dungeons, public dungeons, even the Maelstrom Arena. It’s been a game-changer. I’m not invincible, of course, but I definitely feel a lot tougher. I also tested with my companions – Mirri, it really improved our survivability a lot.
But, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. The ring has its downsides. The reduced healing from others is a big one. If you’re in a group, you’re basically on your own when it comes to healing. So, you gotta be careful and make sure you can handle the incoming damage. Also I heard some people use it in PvP, I’m not a fan of PvP, so I can’t say it’s good or not.
Here’s a quick rundown of my experience:
- Getting the Ring:
- Level up Scrying to 7 (lots of digging).
- Find leads for the five ring pieces.
- Scry and excavate each piece in different zones.
- Combine the pieces at a crafting station.
- Using the Ring:
- Great for solo play.
- Heals you based on your damage.
- Reduces healing from others.
- Makes you tougher, but not invincible.
Overall, I’d say the Ring of the Pale Order is worth the effort if you’re a solo player. It’s a powerful tool that can really boost your survivability. Just be prepared for a bit of a grind to get it, and remember its limitations when playing with others. I heard that there are other powerful sets like “Azureblight Reaper” or “Coral Riptide”, but this ring is really good for solo players, I will keep using it. Good luck, and happy hunting!
