Alright, so I’ve been seeing a lot of folks online asking about whether they can play Phasmophobia on their Nintendo Switches. I got pretty curious myself, so I decided to look into it and see what’s up.
First thing I did was boot up my PC and hit up Steam. I figured, “Hey, if it’s not on Switch, maybe there’s some news about it.” I saw that the Phasmophobia developers, Kinetic, just dropped a new update. Cool, right? They fixed a bunch of bugs that players had been reporting and even added some new challenges and rewards. But then I saw the not-so-great news – Kinetic said they don’t have any plans right now to release Phasmophobia on the Switch.

So, I thought, “Okay, let’s check the Nintendo eShop just to be sure.” I grabbed my Switch and started browsing, but nope, no Phasmophobia to be found. It’s a bummer, I know. I was kinda hoping to play it on the go, too.
Then I went back online and started digging through forums and gaming news sites. I saw a bunch of people talking about wanting Phasmophobia on the Switch. Some folks were saying it’s because the Switch can’t handle the game’s tech stuff. Others were holding out hope, saying maybe it’ll come to the Switch someday.
What I Found Out
- No Switch Version: Right now, Phasmophobia is a no-go on the Nintendo Switch.
- PC and Steam Deck Only: It’s only available on PC, but if you’ve got a Steam Deck, you can play it on there. Apparently, it even works with voice commands, which is pretty neat.
- Developer’s Say: The developers have made it clear – no plans for a Switch version at the moment.
- Community Hopes: Lots of players are still wishing for it, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
So, there you have it. It’s a bit of a letdown for us Switch players, but who knows what the future holds? Maybe one day we’ll get to hunt ghosts on our Switches. Until then, I guess we’ll have to stick to our PCs or Steam Decks. It is kind of disappointing, but I am glad I figured it out.
