Okay, so, I wanted to make a Trainer Card, you know, like the ones from Pokémon? I heard there’s a bunch of sites that let you do it, so I started looking around.
First, I found this thing called “Trainer Card Maker” or “TCM.” Apparently, it’s been around since, like, 2007. People use it to make cards showing off their Pokémon teams. It sounded exactly what I was looking for.

I started poking around the TCM site. There were a ton of options! I could pick different backgrounds, characters, and badges, a lot of cool features for sure.
Customization Process
I spent a good chunk of time just playing with the different settings. Here’s how my customization process went:
- Backgrounds: I chose a cool background.
- Characters: Picked my character, which was fun. It felt like creating my own Pokémon persona.
- Badges: Added some badges. These are like achievements, right? So I picked the ones I liked the most.
- Pokémon Team: This was the best part. I got to choose which Pokémon to add to my card. I went with my all-time favorites, naturally.
After messing around for a while, I finally had my card. It felt pretty awesome to see it all come together. Then I figured, why not make another one? So, I started experimenting with different combinations. Changed the background, swapped out some Pokémon, the whole nine yards.
In the end, I made a bunch of these cards. Each one’s a bit different. It was a blast! It’s like, you’re not just making a card, you’re kind of telling your own Pokémon story. What a great day today!

I didn’t think it would be this much fun. I ended up sharing them with my friends, and they got a kick out of it. Some of them even started making their own. It turned into a whole thing. So yeah, that’s how I got into making Pokémon Trainer Cards. It’s a fun way to kill some time and show off your Pokémon love. Plus, it’s super easy. Anyone can do it!
