Alright, guys, so I’ve been messing around with the Kar98k in Warzone again, trying to find that perfect loadout. It’s a classic for a reason, right? This old-school rifle can still pack a punch if you set it up right.
So first thing’s first, I started by slapping on a monolithic suppressor. Keeps you off the radar, and hey, who doesn’t like a little extra damage range? Gotta keep those shots lethal from a distance.

Next up, I went for the longest barrel available, the Singuard Custom 27.6″. Yeah, it makes the gun a bit slower to aim, but man, does it help with bullet velocity and range. You’re basically a long-range menace with this thing.
For the optic, I was torn for a while. But after some trial and error, I realized the Sniper Scope is the way to go. That classic look and the clear sight picture just feel right on the Kar98k. You can really pick your shots with this.
Now, for the stock, I used to go for the speedier options, but I’ve switched it up. I’m running the FTAC Sport Comb now. It might slow you down a little, but the aiming stability is a game-changer. Trust me, when you’re trying to hit those long shots, you need that stability.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6″
- Optic: Sniper Scope
- Stock: FTAC Sport Comb
Lastly, I experimented with the perks, and I’ve gotta say, the Focus perk is a lifesaver. Reduces flinch when you’re getting shot, so you can stay on target. And since we’re not running an underbarrel, the Bipod can also do some help if you enjoy setting up shop in a good spot. And I played with some other rear grips, but I ended up liking the Stippled Grip Tape for that little bit of extra ADS speed.
I spent a good chunk of time playing with different combinations, and this is what I found worked best for me. It might take a bit to get used to the slower ADS speed, but once you do, you’ll be dropping enemies from across the map.
I also tried some different secondary weapons to pair with the Kar98k. A fast SMG like the MP5 or MP7 is great for those close-quarters fights. But honestly, sometimes I just run a solid AR like the M4A1 or the Grau, so I’m not totally useless if I get caught in a medium-range engagement.
My general tactics when using the Kar98k
When I rock the Kar98k, I like to play it slow and steady. Find a good vantage point, use cover, and take your time lining up your shots. This isn’t a run-and-gun setup, it’s about precision and patience. It’s really satisfying to down someone with a single, well-placed shot.
I’ve had some great games with this loadout, and some not-so-great ones. But that’s the beauty of Warzone, right? You never know what’s gonna happen. Anyway, give this Kar98k setup a try and let me know what you think. It might just become your new favorite.
This Kar98k build really brought me back to the good old days of Warzone. It’s a different playstyle, for sure, but it’s fun as hell. Go out there, give it a shot, and maybe I’ll see you in the Gulag! Or, you know, maybe not, if you’re hitting your shots with this thing!
