Hey guys, so I’ve been messing around with this game, you know, the usual grind. Today, I wanted to dive deep into something that’s been bugging me for a while: Blitzcrank’s place in the game. Yeah, that robot guy with the hook. I decided to figure out where this guy really stands in the current meta.
First thing I did was jump into a bunch of games, playing as Blitzcrank, playing against him, just really trying to get a feel for it. I played him in his usual support role, but I also tried to play him at the top. Then I started recording everything – wins, losses, matchups, the whole nine yards.
Then, I looked up some data online. You know, the usual stuff, win rates, pick rates, ban rates. I wanted to see if my experience matched up with what everyone else was seeing. What I found was pretty interesting. It looked like Blitzcrank support was sitting at around a 48.83% win rate. Not terrible, but definitely not top-tier. He was ranked 56 out of 88. They graded him B- Tier. However, the data did say he was a strong counter to Yuumi.
I also stumbled upon some builds, you know, the runes and items that people were using for the highest win rates. I tried a few of them out, just to see how they felt. What’s more, I saw some crazy stats about Blitzcrank top. Apparently, he’s got a 24% win rate, and the best players have a 54.68% win rate. I was like, “What?” I had to test this out myself.

After all that playing and digging, I started to see a clearer picture. Blitzcrank is in a weird spot. He’s not the worst, but he’s definitely not dominating. He’s got some tough matchups but I find out Blitzcrank can be a nightmare for champions like Yuumi.
My Conclusion
Blitzcrank is one of those champions that’s probably always going to be around, but he’s not a must-pick right now. He’s okay, maybe even good in the right hands or against the right team, but you gotta know what you’re doing. So, yeah, that’s my take on Blitzcrank’s current state. It was a fun little experiment, and it definitely gave me a better understanding of where he fits into the game right now.
