Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this “Dark and Darker” game lately, and let me tell you, these Bluestone Shards are a real pain to get. I heard they’re used for buying cosmetics and stuff in the shop, which is cool, but man, it’s a grind.
First off, I had to figure out how to even get these things. Turns out, you gotta extract from the dungeons to earn them. I did a few runs, killed a bunch of monsters, looted some chests, you know, the usual dungeon-crawling stuff.
Getting Started and Getting Lost
- I started out in the basic dungeon, just trying to get a feel for things. I’m playing a fighter, so I’m pretty much just running in and whacking everything with my sword. It worked pretty well, surprisingly.
I extracted a couple of times, thinking I was gonna be rolling in Bluestone Shards. Nope! I got nothing. Zilch. Zero. So I did some more digging and asked around the forums to find out.
Apparently, it’s tied to this “Triumph” level thing, and it resets with each wipe. So basically, if you earned some shards in a season, you gotta start over in the next one. Great, just great.
The Grind is Real
I’ve been at it for a few days now, and I’ve only managed to snag a few shards. It feels like I’m barely making any progress. I even tried venturing into some of the harder dungeons, thinking maybe they’d give more. Nope. I just got my butt kicked.
- Tried the higher-level dungeons.
- Died. A lot.
- Got frustrated.
I even saw some rumors floating around that you could get them from mineral deposits, like in Leide. I went there and tried to get it but I didn’t find any blue stone shard.
So, yeah, that’s where I’m at with these Bluestone Shards. I’m starting to think it’s just not worth the hassle. I mean, are those cosmetics really that important? I guess I’ll keep plugging away at it, but my enthusiasm is definitely waning. Maybe I’ll just focus on getting better gear instead. I heard it’s related to this “Adventure Points” thing now, instead of currency. Who knows. I just want to look cool while I’m slaying monsters, is that too much to ask?
Anyway, that’s my Bluestone Shard saga so far. It’s been a wild ride, and not in a good way. If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to get these things faster, please let me know. I’m all ears. Because right now, I’m about ready to throw in the towel.
