So, I’ve been trying to get my hands on a PS Portal for a while now. It’s like this cool little gadget that lets you play your PS5 games remotely, and it’s been super hard to find in stock anywhere. I mean, I’ve been checking all the usual suspects – Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Target – you name it. It’s like this thing is made of solid gold or something, the way it’s always sold out.
Anyway, I finally decided to get serious about it. I couldn’t take it anymore, constantly refreshing those product pages and always seeing that dreaded “out of stock” message. So, I started looking into stock trackers.
Here’s what I did:

Searched for online stock trackers: I hit up Google and started looking for websites or services that specialize in tracking product availability. I found a few that seemed pretty legit, promising real-time alerts and all that jazz.

Signed up for alerts: I picked a couple of these tracker sites and signed up for their notification services. They usually let you choose how you want to be alerted – email, push notifications on your phone, or even through Discord. I went with email and push notifications, just to be safe.

Kept an eye on retailer apps: While I was waiting for the trackers to do their thing, I also kept checking the apps for stores like Target. Sometimes, you can find little hints about stock there. Like, if you look under the “Pick Up” section, it might say “Limited Availability” at certain stores.

Monitored Amazon especially: I heard a rumor that Amazon was going to be getting a big shipment of PS Portals, so I paid extra attention to their listing. I even checked for the past few days and found that it was briefly available on November 28th, 2023, but it was sold out quickly.

Waited (and waited some more): This was the hardest part, honestly. Just waiting for that notification to pop up, telling me the PS Portal was finally in stock somewhere.
Finally, after what felt like forever, I got an alert! It was from one of the tracker sites, saying that Best Buy had the PS Portal in stock. I didn’t even hesitate – I clicked the link, added it to my cart, and checked out as fast as humanly possible.
And guess what? I got it! It arrived a few days later, and I’ve been enjoying remote play ever since. It’s seriously a game-changer, being able to play my PS5 games from anywhere in the house. All that effort paid off, and now, I can finally play anytime anywhere!
