Hey, folks, it’s your buddy here, back with another one of my little adventures. So, I’ve been messing around with this baseball game, “MLB The Show 24,” and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. I wanted to share this thing I figured out – how to get traded in Road to the Show, or RTTS, as the cool kids call it.
First off, I started a new career in RTTS. This time, you can even make a female player, which is pretty neat. Anyway, I created my guy, a power-hitting first baseman, because who doesn’t love hitting dingers? I played a bunch of games, did some training, you know, the usual grind.

Getting the Agent Involved
Now, here’s where it gets interesting. I remembered something about talking to your agent to get traded. So, after a few weeks in the game, I went to the “My Ballplayer” screen and then found the “My Career” tab. There’s this option there to “Check In With Agent.” I clicked that, and sure enough, there was an option to talk about a trade.
- Started a new RTTS career.
- Played games and improved my player’s stats.
- Found the “Check In With Agent” option in “My Career.”
I told my agent I wasn’t happy with my current team. I mean, we were losing more than we were winning, and my guy deserves to be on a contender, right? He said he’d look into it, but nothing happened right away. I kept playing, kept mashing, and a few in-game days later, I checked in with the agent again.
The Waiting Game
This part took some patience. I probably asked my agent about a trade four or five times. I’m not even sure if pestering him like that helped, but I was determined. Eventually, he came back and said a couple of teams were interested. He listed them out, and I got to pick which one I wanted to go to!
- Repeatedly asked the agent about a trade.
- Waited for the agent to find interested teams.
- Got to choose my preferred destination.
It felt like it took forever. Honestly, it probably wasn’t that long in real-time, but when you’re itching to get to a new team, every in-game day feels like a week. But hey, it worked! I got traded to a team that was actually in the playoff hunt, and my guy’s career took off. We even made it to the World Series, although we lost. But that’s a story for another day.
So, that’s my experience on how to get traded in MLB The Show 24’s RTTS mode. It’s not rocket science, but it does take a bit of persistence. Just keep playing, keep talking to your agent, and eventually, you’ll get where you want to be. Alright, that’s it for me today. Catch you all later!
