Okay, here’s my story about making a Pokemon Go attacker tier list:
So, I’ve been hooked on Pokemon Go lately, and I wanted to figure out which Pokemon are the best for raids. I mean, who doesn’t want to take down those raid bosses quickly and get those sweet rewards? I did some digging around to find the best attackers in the game, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey.

First, I started looking at the different types of raids. You’ve got your tier 1, tier 3, tier 5, Mega Raids, and even Mega Legendary Raids. Obviously, the higher the tier, the tougher the raid boss, and the more people you need to win. I realized that to make a good tier list, I needed to consider how well each Pokemon performs in these different raid situations.
Diving into the Research
I started by looking at what others had to say. I found that some trainers felt confident in powering up certain Pokemon based on current rankings. This was a good starting point, but I knew I wanted to do my own tests. The general consensus was that the best ones to power up are those that are useful right now. No point in investing in something that might be good later, right?
Finding the Top Contenders
After some research, I found that there are some Pokemon that are just beasts in raids. They’re the ones that dominate the current “metagame,” whatever that means. These are the S-tier Pokemon, the best of the best. Apparently, these Pokemon are either super strong in general, or they’re just the top pick for their type. After playing some raids, I noticed that some Pokemon are better than others in some situations, such as Rhyperior, Garchomp, and Gardevoir.
My Testing Process
With this information, I started testing out different Pokemon in raids. I kept track of how much damage they did, how long they lasted, and how many trainers were needed to win. I tried to use them in different raid tiers to see how they performed against different levels of bosses.
- Rhyperior: This guy is a beast! He’s super effective against a lot of common raid bosses, and he can take a beating.
- Garchomp: Another powerhouse. Garchomp is a great choice for taking down dragon types, which are often featured in higher-tier raids.
- Gardevoir: A bit more fragile, but Gardevoir can dish out some serious damage, especially against fighting and dragon types.
Putting it All Together
After hours of raiding and testing, I started to see some patterns. Some Pokemon were consistently at the top of the damage charts, while others were just okay. I organized my findings into a tier list, with S-tier being the best and lower tiers being less effective. It wasn’t just about raw power, though. I also considered how easy it was to get these Pokemon and their candies. After all, what’s the use of a top-tier attacker if you can never power it up?
Making this tier list was a fun experiment. It definitely helped me understand the game better and make smarter choices about which Pokemon to invest in. Now, when I go into a raid, I feel more confident knowing that I have some of the best attackers on my team. I might even try to do some solo raids or small group battles in the future, and this tier list will be very important for my planning. Plus, it’s always fun to share this kind of stuff with other players and see what they think. Maybe I’ll even start a blog or something to share my Pokemon Go adventures. Who knows?
