Today, I wanna talk about something I’ve been messing around with in TFT – Lucian items. Yeah, that gunslinging dude who’s pretty darn strong in this Set 10. I spent a good chunk of my day trying to figure out what makes this guy tick, and man, it’s been a ride.
Starting the Game
First off, I jumped into a bunch of games, like, a lot. My goal? To see how Lucian performs with different items. I started with the usual suspects, you know, the things everyone slaps on their AD carries. At first I tried Essence Reaver on him, because, well, mana, right? Lucian loves to spam his abilities.

Experimenting with Different Items
After a few rounds, I got a feel for his playstyle. He’s all about bursting folks down with his abilities. So, I started thinking, “What if I boosted that even more?” I tossed in a Navori Flickerblade, figuring it’d help him get those abilities back even faster. This item is great for reducing basic ability cooldowns, and the extra AD it offers is just a sweet bonus.
- Then came the Ionian Boots of Lucidity. Gotta love that cooldown reduction. It meant Lucian could fire off his ultimate more often, and that thing shreds.
- But here’s where it got interesting. I threw in an Infinity Edge. Now, this was a game-changer. Suddenly, his abilities were hitting like a truck, especially when they crit. It was like watching a fireworks show, but instead of pretty colors, it was just enemies melting.
- I also experimented with Lord Dominik’s Regards. This item is a lifesaver against tanky enemies. It gives Lucian some much-needed armor penetration, allowing him to shred through those frontline behemoths like butter.
Playing Matches
With this setup, I started climbing. Not gonna lie, it felt good. I played a bunch of matches, and you could see the difference. Early game, I focused on getting my core items, playing it safe, not taking too many risks. Mid-game, once I had a couple of these bad boys, I started to shine. Lucian was a beast, taking down enemies left and right. By the late game, around the 35-40 minute mark, he was unstoppable.
Results
I looked at my stats after a while, and yeah, the win rate was pretty sweet. It wasn’t perfect, there were some tough matches, especially in the 25-30 minute mark where it seems like Lucian’s just not at his peak. Also, I noticed that Lucian kinda needs the right support to really pop off. I tried him with different ones – Leona, Thresh, Lulu – and honestly, it depends on your style. If you like going all-in, Leona and Thresh are your best bets. If you prefer poking, Lulu is fantastic.
The Final Build
After all this experimenting, my go-to build for Lucian ended up being Essence Reaver, Ionian Boots of Lucidity, Navori Flickerblade, Infinity Edge, and Lord Dominik’s Regards. This combo lets him spam abilities, deal massive damage, and handle any type of enemy. Also, tried to get his Headliner effect, which gave a bit of AD and some bonus shots. It’s not a must, but it helps.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure with Lucian in TFT. It was a blast figuring out what works and what doesn’t. And hey, if you’re into TFT, give this build a shot. It might just help you climb that rank a bit easier.
