Man, let me tell you about my adventure to become the “Champion of Blackwood” in The Elder Scrolls Online. It was a wild ride, let me say. First off, I had to dive headfirst into the main storyline quests in Blackwood. There was this whole thing with “A Deadly Secret” and then “An Unexpected Adversary.” Honestly, it felt like every time I turned a corner, there was another mystery to solve, like “A Hidden Vault” and “A Mysterious Event.”
It wasn’t all just talking and finding clues, though. I got into some serious fights, let me tell you. “Weapons of Destruction” and “Pyre of” something or other were particularly tough spots. I was swinging my sword and casting spells like there was no tomorrow. I teamed up with some old and new allies to uncover some big secret about Mehrunes Dagon and the Longhouse Emperors. Let me say, that was some serious stuff. If we hadn’t stopped them, things would have gotten really, really bad.

But that’s not all. To truly become the “Champion of Blackwood,” I had to complete a bunch of other achievements too. You know, exploring every nook and cranny, finding these things called Skyshards—three of them gave me a new skill point, which was pretty sweet. I had to clear out all the caves and discover all the “striking locales” in Blackwood, like some sort of super tourist. And let’s not forget about the side quests—26 of them, to be exact. Each one was unique, and some were pretty wild.
I also had to defeat these tough bosses scattered around. I remember running into some tough ones inside the Atoll of Immolation. You had Domoira, Faram-Xaran, Flarion, Kmolag, and they were no joke. Each one had their own tricks, and I had to learn them all to take them down.
- Tackle the Main Story Quests:
- A Deadly Secret
- An Unexpected Adversary
- A Hidden Vault
- A Mysterious Event
- Weapons of Destruction
- Pyre of … (something, can’t remember the full name!)
- Become a Master Explorer:
- Clear out all caves.
- Discover all striking locales.
- Find Skyshards (three gives you a skill point).
- Side Quest Hero: Complete 26 unique quests.
- Boss Hunter: Defeat all the big, bad bosses, including those in the Atoll of Immolation.
Oh, and there were these Oblivion Portals popping up all over the place. I had to jump into ten of them and mess up some “antecedent catalyst devices.” It was pretty intense, but I got a cool pet out of it, so that was a nice bonus. Getting to Blackwood was easy, I used a Wayshrine to teleport there with my character.
It was a long and tough journey, but in the end, I finally earned the title of “Champion of Blackwood.” It felt pretty awesome to have accomplished all of that. If you’re thinking of trying to become a champion yourself, be prepared for a real challenge. But hey, if I can do it, so can you!
