Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole mining thing in Dragonflight, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I started off just wandering around, clicking on every shiny rock I could find. I mean, who doesn’t love shiny rocks, right?
Then, I realized there’s actually a whole system to this. There are specializations, like “Mastering the Elements” and “Mining Process”. At first I felt very confused what I should learn, but I really want to learn some knowledge about mining. So I decide to learn both of these two specializations. I guess maybe these two specializations will teach me different things, and I don’t want to miss anything.

At first, I just follow the quest and keep mining, there are so many different types of ore. I mine every ore I can see, but soon I realize there are different specializations in mining. Oh, I don’t know what that means. I thought I just keep mining then I can be stronger. I need to figure out what these specializations are.
I started to look up what these specializations mean. This “Mastering the Elements” thing, it sounded complicated, so I just started leveling the other thing first, the “Mining Process” one, because it sounded simpler.
Then I realize I have to collect things in specific area. After searching, I found that Azure Span is a good place to collect a lot of ore. But, man, there are a ton of enemies there. They’re always trying to interrupt my mining, it’s a total pain. But the scenery’s kind of nice, so I guess that’s a plus. I just run around the edge of the area and pick up everything I can see, hoping not to die.
After that, I leveled up my mining skills, and start to know that I should prioritize those special ores, you know, the ones with fancy names like “Hardened” or “Titan-Touched.” Apperantly, regular ores won’t do me much good anymore. I’ve kind of got the hang of this now, I think. I’m still not entirely sure what I’m doing, but it’s fun, and my bags are always full of ore.
Also, I found out that all the stuff I’m digging up can be used by other players who are into things like Blacksmithing, Engineering, and Jewelcrafting. So I guess my mining is helping them out, which is pretty cool.
So, yeah, that’s my mining story so far. It’s been a bit of a mess, but I’m learning as I go. If you’re thinking about getting into mining, my advice is just to go for it. And try not to get too annoyed by those enemies in Azure Span.
