Today I wanted to mess around with designing some EAFC cards. I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about the new designs, and I got curious to try my hand at it.
First off, I started by looking up what people were saying about the new EAFC card designs. Some folks online were talking about how they missed the old square designs from way back when, saying they reminded them of Panini football stickers. I kinda get that, those were pretty cool. But the new ones have their own charm, especially with the players popping out of the frame.

I then began looking for the official designs. Found some discussions where people were sharing resources. One guy was asking if anyone had the official designs in a drive folder, but I didn’t have any luck finding those.
I decided to try making a card from scratch. There’s a bunch of sites out there where you can design these, so I picked one that looked simple enough. There’s even a tool to design the whole EAFC kits, which is pretty neat, but I just wanted to focus on the player cards for now.
Here’s how my card-making process went:
- Picked a player: I’m a big fan of the classics, so I went with an all time classic.
- Found a good action shot: It’s all about finding a picture where the player looks dynamic.
- Played around with the stats: This was a bit tricky. I had to make sure the numbers made sense for the player’s position and abilities.
- Adjusted the design: This is where I spent the most time. I tried out different color schemes and layouts until I found something that I liked.
After a few hours of tinkering, I finally created a card I was happy with. It’s not perfect, but it was a fun experiment. I think I’ll keep playing around with these designs. There’s something satisfying about creating your own custom EAFC card. Maybe next time, I’ll try designing a whole team!
All in all, it was a pretty chill afternoon messing around with digital football cards. If you’ve got some time to kill and you’re into this sort of thing, I’d say give it a shot. It’s a nice way to get those creative juices flowing.
