Okay, so, today I tried my hand at the detailed painting in Animal Crossing, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience! I started by visiting that sneaky fox, Redd, on his shady boat. You never know what you’re going to get with him.
I entered his boat and checked all the artwork he got this time. Luckily, there was a detail painting. I began to compare if it was fake. Oh boy, you gotta be careful. After checking for those key differences—the color of the flowers and that all-important stamp and signature, I figured it was the real deal. I bought it right away!

Next step: waiting. Yep, just like ordering something online, you gotta wait for it to arrive in the mail. It felt like forever, but finally, the next day, there it was in my mailbox! I ripped open that package so fast.
Once I got the painting, I marched right over to the museum. Blathers was there, as usual, ready to take my donation. I handed it over, and boom, it’s now part of the art gallery. Let me tell you that the art gallery in my museum looks pretty awesome. It’s got that classic, refined vibe, you know?
Here’s what I did to make sure I didn’t get scammed by Redd:
- Checked the flowers: The fake has purple flowers, but the real one has blue ones.
- Looked for the stamp and signature: It should be on the left edge. If it’s missing, it’s a fake for sure.
What I learned today:
The detail painting is based on the Mona Lisa. I didn’t even know that! It’s cool how they bring real-world art into the game. Anyway, that’s my story of getting the detailed painting. It was a fun little adventure, and now my museum is one step closer to being complete.
