Today, I wanna talk about my little adventure in the icy snow region in Pokemon Go. It’s been quite a journey, let me tell you!
So, I started by figuring out where these icy snow regions actually are. Turns out, they’re mostly in the far north, like parts of Norway, Russia, and the Northwest and Yukon Territories in Canada. I packed my virtual bags and set off to these frosty locales in the game.

Now, the main goal here was to catch this special Pokemon called Vivillon, which has an icy snow pattern. But it’s not just about catching it, you gotta evolve it from its previous form, Spewpa. And to do that, you need 100 candies. Collected them was a bit of a grind, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
Collecting Scatterbug
- First off, I needed to find out which region I was in. The easiest way was to pin an unsent gift in my bag and see which Vivillon Collection Medal got updated. That’s how I confirmed I was in the right place.
- Then, I started hunting for Scatterbug. This little guy is the first form of Vivillon. I roamed around the icy areas, tapping on every Pokemon that popped up.
After catching a bunch of Scatterbugs, I finally got enough candies to evolve one into Spewpa. And with more candy-collecting, I evolved Spewpa into the beautiful Icy Snow Vivillon. That was a good moment, seeing those icy wings flutter on my screen!
Training Vivillon
- I spent some time battling with my new Vivillon. It’s got some cool moves, like Aerial Ace, Bug Buzz, Hurricane, and Energy Ball.
- Aerial Ace was particularly handy in battles. It’s a flying-type move, and it worked great against a lot of other Pokemon types.
I learned that each Vivillon pattern is unique to certain regions, making it super cool to collect them all. It’s like a little geography lesson within the game.
This whole experience was a blast. Traveled to different regions, caught a rare Pokemon, and learned a thing or two along the way. Pokemon Go really does a great job of mixing exploration with fun. If you’re into Pokemon, definitely give this icy adventure a try. It’s worth the virtual frostbite!
