Okay, so, I gotta share this ’cause it was driving me nuts. I’m playing Valorant, right? And the audio started sounding all weird, like I was underwater or something. It was super distracting and messing with my game, big time.
First off, I thought, “Maybe it’s my headset?” So, I unplugged it and plugged it back in a couple of times. I even checked for dust and stuff in the ports. Nope, that wasn’t it. The headset was working fine with other things.

Then, I dove into the game settings. Valorant has its own audio setup, you know? I started messing around with everything in there.
- I checked the “Audio Output Configuration.”
- I tried switching it to “stereo” because I’m not using surround sound or anything fancy like that.
That didn’t do much either.

Next, I went to my PC’s sound settings. I made sure the right output device was selected. I even played around with the levels a bit. Still nothing. I was getting a bit frustrated at this point, not gonna lie.
I figured maybe the game just needed a fresh start, so I restarted Valorant. Sometimes that fixes random glitches, right? But, nope, the audio was still messed up.
What fixed the issue in my case
At last, I remembered something about drivers. So, I went to check if my audio drivers were up to date. Turns out, they were super old! I found the latest ones online, downloaded, and installed them.
And guess what? After a quick restart, the audio in Valorant was crystal clear! It was such a relief. So yeah, if you’re having weird audio issues in Valorant, make sure your drivers are up to date. It might just save you a headache!
Oh and always remember to check your in-game audio settings and make sure everything’s set right for your setup. Hope this helps someone out there!
