I’ve been messing around with this game, League of Legends, lately. It’s got a ton of characters, and I was trying to figure out some good team-ups. Today, I spent some time playing around with this one character, Pyke. He’s a support, which basically means he’s supposed to help out his teammates, especially the “ADC” who’s usually the main damage dealer on the team.
Finding the right ADC
So, the big thing I was trying to figure out today was which ADCs work well with Pyke. I started off by hopping into some games and just trying different combinations. I played a few games with my friend, we both picked the game’s recommended combo, and we lost horribly. After that, I decided to do some digging online to see what other players thought.

I found a bunch of forum posts and articles talking about “Pyke synergy.” It seems like the general idea is that Pyke works best with ADCs who are aggressive and can deal a lot of damage quickly. Some of the names that kept popping up were:
- Caitlyn: Apparently, she’s good because she can poke enemies from far away, which sets up Pyke to go in and finish them off.
- Draven: I guess he’s another aggressive one who can snowball a lead really hard.
- Jhin: Similar to Caitlyn, he can poke and also has some crowd control abilities to help Pyke land his skills.
- Tristana: She’s good at jumping in and out of fights, which I guess complements Pyke’s playstyle.
- Jinx: She seems like another good option for poking and following up on Pyke’s engages.
Testing it out
After reading up on these combos, I decided to put them to the test. I played a few more games, trying out each of these ADCs with Pyke. Here’s what I found:
- Caitlyn/Pyke: This one felt pretty good. I could poke enemies with Caitlyn, and when they got low enough, Pyke could easily hook them in and secure the kill.
- Draven/Pyke: This combo was a bit more hit-or-miss. When we got ahead, we dominated, but if we fell behind, it was hard to come back.
- Jhin/Pyke: I liked this one a lot. Jhin’s poke and root made it easy for Pyke to land his hooks, and we could usually burst down enemies pretty quickly.
- Tristana/Pyke: This one was fun, but I think it requires a bit more coordination. Tristana can jump in with Pyke, but if you’re not on the same page, it can be easy to get caught out.
- Jinx/Pyke: This was another solid choice. Jinx’s rockets gave us good poke, and her traps helped us control the lane.
My Conclusion
Overall, I found that Pyke definitely works best with aggressive ADCs who can follow up on his plays. Caitlyn, Jhin, and Jinx felt like the strongest options, at least for my playstyle. Draven and Tristana can also work, but they might require a bit more practice and coordination. But these are only my experience, you can try other combinations to fit yourself.
I’m still not a pro or anything, but it was fun experimenting and seeing which combos worked well. I even climbed a few ranks today, so I guess I was doing something right! I will continue to play this game and share my experience with you guys in the future!
