Okay, so, I’ve been grinding in PUBG lately, trying to figure out which guns are actually worth picking up. You know, there’s a ton of them, and it’s kinda overwhelming at first. So, I started digging into it, testing things out, making notes – the whole nine yards. Here’s what I found out after some serious trial and error.
First off, I had to get a feel for all the different weapon types. I spent a good chunk of time just running around, grabbing everything I could find. Pistols, shotguns, SMGs, ARs, DMRs, sniper rifles… you name it, I tried it. I started noticing some patterns pretty quick. Some guns, like the shotguns, are beasts up close but totally useless at range. Others, like the sniper rifles, are obviously killer from far away but can get you killed in a close-quarters fight.

Then I started focusing on the individual guns within each category. This is where things got interesting. For example, in the sniper rifle category, I found that the AWM is just a monster. Seriously, this thing can one-shot almost anyone, even if they’ve got a level 3 helmet on. I managed to pull off some crazy long-range headshots with it. It’s definitely rare, but if you find one, grab it!
Testing the Recoil
Another thing I really dug into was recoil. Some guns kick like a mule, making them hard to control, especially in full-auto mode. But then there’s the DP-28. This thing is a light machine gun, but it has almost no recoil, especially when you’re prone. I was shocked at how easy it was to keep it on target. I started using it to just spray down enemies at mid-range. It’s not as powerful as some of the other guns, but the accuracy is insane.
My Personal Tier List
So, after all this testing, I started putting together my own little tier list. I’m not going to claim it’s the definitive list or anything, but it’s what’s been working for me.
- S Tier: AWM – I just can’t get over how powerful this thing is. Total game-changer.
- A Tier: DP-28. For sure.
- Somewhere in between: ARs, SMGs. Some of them are really good, some are just average.
- Don’t bother: Pistols. Unless it’s the very beginning of the match and you have nothing else.
This is just what I figured out from playing. You might find other guns that you like better, and that’s cool. There are also the attachment. I mean, adding a good scope to a gun can make a huge difference. Anyway, that’s my two cents on PUBG weapons. I figured out some things. Hopefully, this helps some of you out there. Happy gaming!
