So, I’ve been hooked on Pokemon GO lately, and like many of you, I really wanted to catch a Mr. Mime. I mean, who wouldn’t want that quirky little guy in their collection? But I quickly found out, it’s not as easy as just stumbling upon one in the wild. This dude is a bit of a rare find, especially depending on where you live.
First off, I started doing some digging. Turns out, Mr. Mime is what they call a “regional exclusive.” This basically means that you can only find him in certain parts of the world. My heart sank a little when I discovered that Mr. Mime is typically only found in Europe. I’m not in Europe. Bummer.

But I wasn’t about to give up that easily. I’m not one to hop on a plane just to catch a Pokemon (though the thought did cross my mind, I admit). So, I started looking into other ways to snag a Mr. Mime.
One option I came across was trading. The idea is to find someone who has a Mr. Mime and is willing to trade it for something you have. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, not quite. Finding someone who’s willing to part with their precious Mr. Mime can be a challenge in itself. And of course, you need to have something of equal value to offer them in return.
- I started by joining some Pokemon GO trading groups online. There are tons of them out there, filled with trainers from all over the world.
- I posted a message saying I was looking for a Mr. Mime and listed some of the rarer Pokemon I had to offer in return.
- I got a few responses, but nothing that panned out. Either they wanted something I didn’t have, or they were just too far away to make a trade practical.
Another thing I learned is that Mr. Mime’s evolution, Galarian Mr. Mime, sometimes appears in raids. Raids are those battles where you team up with other trainers to take down a powerful Pokemon. If you win, you get a chance to catch it. I figured this might be my best shot, so I kept an eye out for any raids featuring Galarian Mr. Mime.
It took a while, but finally, I spotted a Galarian Mr. Mime raid nearby. I rallied some friends, and we headed over to battle it out. It was a tough fight, but we managed to defeat it. And guess what? I finally caught one! It wasn’t the classic Mr. Mime, but hey, it was close enough. Plus, I could evolve it into Mr. Rime, which was pretty cool.
So, here’s the deal:
- If you’re in Europe, you might get lucky and find a Mr. Mime in the wild.
- If you’re not in Europe, you can try trading with someone who has one.
- Keep an eye out for Galarian Mr. Mime raids, as they can be a good way to get a Mr. Mime evolution.
Catching a Mr. Mime in Pokemon GO definitely takes some effort, especially if you’re not in the right location. But don’t give up! With a little persistence, some trading savvy, and maybe a raid or two, you can add this quirky Pokemon to your collection. Good luck, fellow trainers!
