Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with Gardevoir in Pokemon GO, and let me tell you, figuring out the best moveset can be a real headache. I spent hours trying different combinations, and I think I finally cracked the code, at least for my playstyle.
My Gardevoir Moveset Experiments
First off, I started by looking up what other people were saying online. I found a website, I think it was called *, and they had a whole section on Gardevoir. According to them, the best offensive moveset is Confusion and Psychic, and for defense, it’s Confusion and Dazzling Gleam. Seemed simple enough, right?

So, I slapped those moves on my Gardevoir and jumped into some raids. Confusion as the quick move made sense. It felt pretty strong and charged up my special moves pretty quickly. But here’s where I started experimenting.
- Psychic for the charged attack felt really powerful. When it hit, it hit hard. I was taking down those raid bosses like a champ, at least when Gardevoir’s type was effective.
- Then I tried Dazzling Gleam as the charged attack. It was okay, but it didn’t seem to pack the same punch as Psychic. It did come in handy when I wanted some coverage against different types of Pokemon, I guess.
- I even tried some other charged attacks I’d seen recommended elsewhere, but honestly, none of them felt as good as Psychic for pure damage output.
After all that testing, here’s what I learned. For offense, especially in raids, Confusion and Psychic is the way to go. At least for me. It just feels like the most powerful combination. Dazzling Gleam is alright for defense or for gyms but it’s not my first choice.
One more thing I found out is that Gardevoir is pretty strong as a Fairy attacker in raids. Although, it seems like Fairy isn’t always the best type for raids since there might be better options against Dark and Fighting types. And against Dragon types, well, there’s always other choices.
Anyway, that’s my experience with Gardevoir’s moveset in Pokemon GO. It took some trial and error, but I’m pretty happy with what I ended up with. Hope this helps someone out there!
