Alright, so, let me tell you about this thing I got into recently – it’s called “Anima Squad Missions”. Basically, it’s part of this big summer event in League of Legends, the “Swarm – Operation Anima Squad” thing, that kicked off on July 17th. I was pretty stoked because I heard you could snag some cool stuff, like new weapons and champions.
First thing I did was jump into the game on the 17th, I think it was around 11:00 am PT. They rolled it out earlier in some regions, but that’s when it hit where I’m at. The whole setup is that these nasty creatures called Primordians are trying to wipe out humanity, and the Anima Squad is fighting back. It’s a good time.
The main thing I was after were these “Anima Squad 2024 Orbs”. You get a random skin shard from each one, and they boost your chances of getting Mythic Essence. Plus, there’s a small shot at getting an “Anima Squad 2024 Grab Bag”, which is even better. I bought a few orbs, hoping to get lucky, but you know how it is with these random drops.
- Jumped in on July 17th – Right when the event started in my region.
- Chased those Orbs – For the skin shards and the Mythic Essence boost.
- Hunted for Grab Bags – Because who doesn’t want extra goodies?
I also noticed that there’s an “Anima Squad 2024 Exclusive Pack”, but you can only get it if you buy a 50 Orb Bundle. I’m not sure if I’m ready to drop that much yet, but it’s tempting.
Anyway, I started playing through the missions, blasting those Primordian hordes. It’s pretty fun, and it feels good to rack up those rewards. I’ve managed to unlock a new weapon so far, which is sweet. It makes the whole thing feel worthwhile, you know?
The whole event runs until August 19th, so I’ve got some time to keep grinding and see what else I can get. I’m hoping to unlock a new champion before it’s all over. That’s the big goal.
What I’ve Done So Far:
- Played through a bunch of missions – Blasting those Primordian bugs is oddly satisfying.
- Unlocked a new weapon – Makes me feel like a true Anima Squad member.
- Got a few skin shards – Nothing too crazy yet, but it’s something.
