Hey everyone, so I’ve been playing a lot of Pokémon lately, diving deep into the world of Scarlet and Violet, and I gotta talk about Torterra. You know, the Grass/Ground-type that looks like a walking island? Well, I found myself in a bit of a pickle with this one, so I did some digging and wanted to share what I learned.
So, first off, I started by facing Torterra in a bunch of battles. I tried different Pokémon, different strategies, the whole nine yards. And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy. This thing is tough! But through trial and error, I started noticing a pattern.

The big “aha!” moment came when I realized that Torterra really, really doesn’t like Ice-type moves. Like, at all. I brought out my Weavile, and it was a game-changer. Its Ice attacks were super effective, and it made a huge difference.
- Ice-type moves: Total game-changers. They do 4x damage.
- Fire-, Flying-, and Bug-type moves: They’re your next best bet. Each does 2x damage.
But it wasn’t just about the type of move. I also learned that using the right Pokémon matters. I experimented with different ones, and here’s where it gets interesting. I used Mega Rayquaza and Shadow Mamoswine, and boy, did they deliver! They hit hard and fast, and Torterra just couldn’t keep up.
I also tried a different angle, using Grassy Terrain and Leaf Storm, then finishing with Giga Drain. It’s a bit of a setup, but when it works, it’s beautiful. It’s like watching a perfectly choreographed dance of destruction.
So, after all this experimenting and battling, I finally figured out how to deal with Torterra. It’s all about exploiting those weaknesses, choosing the right Pokémon, and sometimes, setting up the perfect combo. Hope this helps some of you out there who might be struggling with this walking fortress. Happy battling!
