Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Genshin Impact lately, and let me tell you, figuring out the whole Catalyst character thing has been a bit of a journey. I thought I’d share what I’ve learned so far, especially for anyone just starting out or feeling a bit lost like I was.
First off, I started playing Genshin because, well, everyone’s talking about it, right? So I jumped in, and the first thing that hit me was how many characters there are. It’s crazy! I spent the first few days just running around, whacking things with whatever character the game gave me. I realize there are different weapons, like bows, swords, and these Catalyst things. I decided to try and figure out what the deal is with the Catalyst characters.
So, I started digging around. I read some stuff online, watched some videos, and tried out a few different Catalyst users. There’s some starter one like Lisa, but man she was not for me. It felt like she was made of paper. One hit and she is almost dead! Then there is Barbara, who I guess is more of a healer, which is cool, but I wanted to do some damage, you know?
I pulled for some new characters. It took me a while to figure out how to do that. You have to use this thing called Fates on some banners, whatever that means. I think I tried about 80 times, and I finally got a 5-star! It was Ningguang. She’s pretty cool, throws rocks and stuff, but she’s definitely not a beginner character.
One thing I tried that seemed to work okay was this weapon called “Eye of Perception”. I equipped it on one of my Catalyst characters, and it did this thing where it bounced extra damage between enemies. It’s not super amazing, but it helped me clear out groups of those little slime guys a bit faster. I got this weapon from some chest or something, I can’t even remember.
My Team Now
I heard people say that Noelle was a great character for beginners. She can do some damage and protect you at the same time. Also I heard that Kaeya was good too, so I put him in my team too. Now my team is Noelle, Kaeya, Ningguang, and this random archer I got. It feels a lot better than what I had before.
- Noelle: She’s like a tank, seriously. She has a shield and can heal, which is a lifesaver when you’re still learning the ropes.
- Kaeya: He’s my main damage dealer. I got some sword from somewhere for him and he slashes things pretty fast.
- Ningguang: She’s my Catalyst user. Her rocks hit pretty hard, but I need to figure out how to keep her alive longer. She is like Lisa, one hit and almost dead!
- Some Archer: Honestly, I just have them there to shoot things from far away. I don’t even know her name.
This whole thing is still a work in progress, though. It feels like a lot of trial and error. I’m still trying to figure out all these different characters and weapons. But hey, it’s a fun game, and I’m slowly getting the hang of it. If you have any tips for me, let me know! I am still a noob at this.
