Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Azelf in Pokémon GO, and let me tell you, figuring out the best moveset for this little guy took some doing. I wanted to share what I found because it made a big difference in how I use Azelf in battles.
First off, I started trying out different moves, you know, just throwing Azelf into Gym battles to see what stuck. I quickly realized that not all moves are created equal. Some were okay, some were pretty bad, and it was a real mixed bag.
After a bunch of battles, I started to notice a pattern. Confusion, as a fast move, was hitting pretty hard and pretty often. I mean, it seemed like the best fast move to use. I’d heard someone say that it is a strong psychic attack, and I was feeling it. It was dishing out damage consistently. I kept this in mind going forward.
- I tried out a few of the Charge Attacks. Fire Blast was cool looking, but it didn’t seem to fit Azelf’s style, you know?
- Swift was okay, but nothing to write home about.
Then I tried Future Sight. Whoa. This move, combined with Confusion, was a game-changer. Future Sight takes a bit to charge up, but when it hits, it hits hard. Like, really hard. It’s also a Psychic-type move, which makes sense for Azelf.
So, after all that experimenting, I settled on Confusion and Future Sight as the best moveset for Azelf. This combo just felt the most powerful. I was taking down Pokémon in Gyms way faster, and it made a huge difference in my Raid battles too.
What about defense?
From what I read, this combo seems to be the best for attacking, but I am not sure about defense. I saw somewhere that Azelf is weak against Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type attacks, but strong against Fighting and Psychic. Also, I learned that if you get an Azelf from a raid, and it has a 100% IV, its CP should be 1834. That’s pretty cool.
Anyway, that’s my experience with finding the best moveset for Azelf. It took some trial and error, but I’m glad I figured it out. Hopefully, this helps someone else out there who’s trying to make the most of their Azelf in Pokémon GO! It’s a solid Psychic type, and with the right moves, it can really pack a punch.
