Today, I want to talk about this “tremendous statue” thing in Animal Crossing. I’ve been playing this game like crazy lately, it’s so chill, you know? Anyway, I heard about this statue you can get from Redd, that sneaky fox. So, I was all over it.
First, I had to wait. Redd only shows up sometimes, randomly, on his weird little boat. It’s called a “Treasure Trawler,” or something. Finally, the day came. I saw his little icon on the map, and I ran to the secret beach where he docks.

I went inside the boat, and there it was. This big, kinda ancient-looking, bronze thing. They call it the “tremendous statue.” Redd gave me his usual spiel about it being a rare, one-of-a-kind piece. He wanted 4,980 Bells for it.
Now, here’s the thing with Redd – you gotta be careful. He sells fake art sometimes. But this statue… I read somewhere that this particular one is always real. No fakes. So, I went for it. I paid the Bells and took it back to my island.
I placed it outside my museum. It looked pretty cool, honestly. I did a little digging online, and it turns out this statue is based on a real-life thing called the “Houmuwu ding.” It’s some kind of ancient Chinese bronze vessel. Pretty neat, huh?
I also heard that villagers might send you art in the mail. So maybe you could get the tremendous statue that way, too. I haven’t gotten one in the mail yet, though. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.
Oh, and I also checked out Harv’s Island. Redd has a shop there, too. But the statue wasn’t there when I visited. I guess his inventory changes.
In conclusion:
- Waited for Redd to show up on his boat.
- Found the tremendous statue on his boat.
- Bought it for 4,980 Bells.
- Learned that this statue is always genuine (no fake versions).
- Placed it outside my museum.
- Discovered it’s based on a real-life artifact.
- Checked Harv’s Island, but it wasn’t there.
So yeah, that’s my adventure with the tremendous statue in Animal Crossing. It was a pretty simple process, but it was cool to add a piece of, like, virtual history to my island. If you see it on Redd’s boat, grab it! It’s worth it.
