Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this Gardevoir in Pokemon Go, trying to figure out the best moveset. It’s been a bit of a journey, let me tell you.
First off, I caught this Ralts a while back, it had pretty decent stats, so I decided to evolve it all the way up to Gardevoir. I mean, who wouldn’t want a powerful psychic type, right? Then the real work began – figuring out its moves.

I started experimenting with different Fast Moves. Initially, I slapped Confusion on it. It worked okay, got that same type attack bonus and all, but it felt a bit slow. Then I tried out Charm. Oh boy, that was a game-changer. It hits way harder, and even though it’s a Fairy-type move, it just shreds through opponents.
- Confusion: Felt slow, even with the STAB.
- Charm: Hits like a truck, seriously.
Next up, the Charged Moves. I messed with a few combinations. I knew I needed a psychic type attack, so testing various attacks was a must. Shadow Ball seemed like a good choice for coverage, especially against those pesky Ghost-types. And after a few test runs, that seemed to work out well. Synchronoise is also not bad as an alternative option.
There were a few other moves I tinkered with, like Dazzling Gleam and Thunderbolt, but they didn’t quite make the cut. But then, I stumbled upon this interesting thing. This Gardevoir already knew Moonblast from when it was caught, so I just left that on there. Works pretty well, though I don’t use it too often.
My Final Verdict
After all that experimenting, here’s the moveset I settled on:
- Fast Move: Charm
- Charged Move 1: Shadow Ball
- Charged Move 2: Synchronoise (or Moonblast since it had it from the get-go)
This combination has been working wonders for me. Gardevoir is now a beast in battles, whether it’s raids, gyms, or even the GO Battle League. It can take a few hits, and it definitely dishes out the damage. I still need to test more with Triple Axel, but I feel Shadow Ball is still the better option right now.
So yeah, that’s my Gardevoir story. It took some trial and error, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s at now. If you’re building a Gardevoir, definitely give this moveset a try!
