Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this “Yasuo comp” thing in TFT, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I saw some folks online talking about it, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” So, I dove right in.
First off, I had to figure out what the heck this comp even was. Turns out, it’s all about making Yasuo the star of the show. He’s the carry, the main man, the dude who’s supposed to slice and dice his way to victory. I started by trying to get my hands on Yasuo as early as possible. You know, hitting those early game shops, hoping the RNG gods would bless me.

Once I had my Yasuo, the next step was figuring out what items to slap on him. I saw a bunch of different suggestions online. Some people were all about the Rapid Firecannon (RFC), Runaan’s Hurricane, and Quicksilver Sash (QSS). Others swore by Jeweled Gauntlet (JG) instead of RFC. And then there were the folks who said Gunblade was the way to go. Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming. I experimented with all these combos. I spent a good chunk of time just mixing and matching, seeing what felt right. I noticed that with RFC, Hurricane, and QSS, Yasuo felt pretty safe, dishing out damage from a distance. But with JG, man, he just exploded with damage! But then he sometimes got blown up, too. And the Gunblade? It kept him alive, but I felt like he wasn’t killing things fast enough. In one game I put all these three items and Yasuo seems like a monster. That was an amazing moment.
But it wasn’t just about Yasuo. I had to build a team around him. I learned that you need some beefy frontliners to buy him time. And some other units to provide support, you know, crowd control or extra damage. I tried out different combinations, seeing which units synergized well with him. There was a lot of trial and error. Some games, my team would just get steamrolled. Others, it felt like everything clicked, and Yasuo would just go on a rampage.
- Get Yasuo early
- Try out different item combinations
- Build a solid team around him
The biggest thing I learned was positioning. You gotta put Yasuo in the right spot. I messed this up a lot at first. I’d put him in the corner, thinking he’d be safe, but then he’d get jumped by assassins. Or I’d put him too far forward, and he’d get focused down before he could do anything. One time I read a tip that said Yasuo fires a whirlwind, so I began to pay attention to his skill animation. Then I started to put Yasuo in the place where he could use that skill to hit more enemies. That was a nice trick.
After a bunch of games, I finally started to get the hang of it. I learned to adapt my strategy based on what the game threw at me. I also began to read some guide about how to play Yasuo effectively. Someone said go for a strategy that can make this comp win. I think I should try that later.
Honestly, it was frustrating at times. But when it worked, it was glorious. Seeing Yasuo tear through the enemy team was so satisfying. I’m still no expert, but I feel like I’ve made some progress. The way to reach master? I don’t know yet. But one of my friends told me that playing your strongest board that will lead you to consistent for 4 with Yasuo Kaisa comp is a nice start. I might try that later on. There is another thing that makes me worried: Someone said that Yasuo IS overpowered, and I am afraid that TFT developer might change that in the future.
So, yeah, that’s my Yasuo comp adventure so far. It’s been a learning experience, for sure. Lots of ups and downs. But hey, that’s TFT, right?
