So, today, I decided to tackle something I’ve been putting off for a while: organizing my ever-growing collection of Nendoroids. I’ve always been fascinated by these little guys. You know, the ones with the big heads and tiny bodies? Yeah, those. I figured it’s time to give them the proper display they deserve, and while I’m at it, check out the new releases coming up. I mean, they had a sort of showcase for new stuff and updates on the old ones, and I am excited.
First things first, I cleared out a couple of shelves and started sorting through my existing collection. I can’t believe how many I’ve accumulated over the years! It’s a mix of old and new, some dating back to, like, 2014 and 2015. Crazy, right?
I carefully dusted each Nendoroid and started arranging them by series. It’s amazing how much detail goes into these figures, especially considering their size. Each one is like a miniature work of art. I have a few from the Neon Genesis Evangelion series, which are part of a collaboration they did. And I just found out they’re also doing some from the Mario series. I saw that both Mario and Luigi Nendoroids are up for pre-order now for 46.99 bucks on the Good Smile online store. Gotta act fast, though, pre-orders close at the end of July!
As I was organizing, I stumbled upon this really rare Nendoroid called Ryofuko-chan. Apparently, it’s the rarest one in the world! It was a prize for some contest and never got a regular release. I feel incredibly lucky to have it in my collection.
Getting into the New Stuff
While browsing online for display ideas, I also checked out some of the new Nendoroids coming out in 2024. I’m a little excited, not going to lie. I heard something about a new series called “Nendoroid Swacchao!” Sounds easy to collect, so maybe I’ll start with those.
And then there’s this thing called “Nendoroid Light.” It’s like a simpler, more affordable version, but you can still swap the head and face plates. It seems like they are trying to make this more accessible.
- Sorting: Spent the morning sorting through my existing collection.
- Cleaning: Dusted each Nendoroid carefully.
- Arranging: Organized them by series on the shelves.
- Discovery: Found my rare Ryofuko-chan Nendoroid!
- Research: Looked up new releases and pre-order info.
- New Series: Learned about “Nendoroid Swacchao!” and “Nendoroid Light.”
Organizing my Nendoroids turned out to be a bigger project than I anticipated, but it was totally worth it. Seeing them all displayed so nicely makes me happy. Plus, I’m hyped about the new releases coming up. I heard that the figures are expensive because of the whole process they go through to make ’em. Makes sense, I guess. They say you can buy the showcased ones online eventually, but for now, they’re just for show. I am thinking of clearing out more space because I have a feeling my collection is about to get a lot bigger!
