Okay, so I’ve been playing a ton of Pokémon GO lately, like I’m back in 2016 or something. And guess what? There’s this “Mountains of Power” thing going on right now. I saw some people talking about it online, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” So, here’s how it all went down.
First off, I had to get into the research tasks. You know, the usual deal where you spin PokéStops, catch a bunch of Pokémon, and all that jazz. It started pretty chill. The first set of tasks was just catching different types of Pokémon, which was no big deal. I was walking around my neighborhood, and there they were, just chilling and waiting to be caught. I finished these tasks in one hour.

- Catch 5 Normal-type Pokémon.
- Catch 5 Water-type Pokémon.
- Catch 5 Grass-type Pokémon.
Step 1:
The rewards for these were also not bad – some Stardust, some Great Balls, and an encounter with an Absol. Honestly, I don’t really use Absol that much, but hey, free Pokémon, right?
Then came the second step. This one was a bit more specific, asking me to catch certain Pokémon that are supposedly related to mountains. This step made me wander around a bit more. I started to catch some specific Pokémon, and battled in raids. But, you know what? That was it.
- Catch 6 different species of Pokémon.
- Catch 5 Pokémon with Weather Boost.
- Make 5 Nice Throws.
Step 2:
After I completed the tasks, I got some more Stardust, and a Mawile encounter.
I also found something cool from some forum. A guy said there’s a way to get Herba Mystica. And this Herba Mystica, it’s like the secret ingredient for making super-powerful Sandwiches. I was like, “What? Sandwiches?” But yeah, apparently, after you beat the game, you can farm this stuff by beating five and six-star Raid Pokémon. I haven’t beaten the game yet, so I couldn’t try this out. But it sounds awesome. The guy even shared a recipe for a shiny-boosting Sandwich: Hamburger, green pepper, onion, tomato, and two tofu. It’s just some random stuff, but it’s useful. Sounds yummy, though. And apparently, these Sandwich Powers last for 30 minutes.
So yeah, that’s my adventure with the “Mountains of Power” in Pokémon GO. It was a fun little distraction, and I got some decent rewards out of it. Still, need to figure out this Herba Mystica thing. That sounds like a game-changer. Anyway, that’s all for now. Gotta catch ’em all, right?
