Okay, so, let’s talk about this whole “Split 2” thing in League of Legends. I’ve been grinding a bit, trying to climb that ranked ladder, and it’s been… well, it’s been a journey, let me tell you.
I started the split feeling pretty good. I played my games, you know, really focusing on each match. I decided I’d play like 2 or 3 ranked games each day, no more. On the days that I lost, I looked back at the first 5-10 minutes to see where I messed up. It was a total pain, but I figured it would be worth it.

But here’s the kicker, I read somewhere that to really climb, you gotta play a ton of games. Like, 10-15 games a week! And I was all, “Okay, I can do that.” I picked three champions that I thought I was decent with, and I planned to rotate them each week. Made sense at the time, right?
Then, I started hearing about these “Split Points.” Apparently, you get 10 of these bad boys for every win. I saw that the split ends on September 24th. That felt so far away. So, I started playing more, chasing those points, thinking I was making progress. It was rough to play so much. I started to lose my focus and made simple mistakes.
What I learned
- Don’t Overdo It: Playing too many games in a day just fries your brain. You start making dumb mistakes, and it’s all downhill from there.
- Stick to Your Guns: Switching champions all the time is a recipe for disaster. It’s better to get really good at a few than to be mediocre at a bunch.
- Chill Out: Yeah, it’s ranked, but it’s still a game. Getting tilted over every loss just makes you play worse. Plus, it’s no fun.
So, that’s my story about trying to make the most of Split 2. I didn’t hit Challenger or anything, but I definitely learned a few things. I think. It’s all a bit of a blur, to be honest. But hey, at least Split 3 starts right after, so we get to do it all over again! But next time, I’ll definitely try to remember what I learned this time.
If you read this, maybe it can save you some time and a lot of headaches. See you on the Rift, I guess. Maybe.
