Alright, so, I’ve been playing this game, Animal Crossing, for a while now, and let me tell you, getting those paintings for the museum is a whole adventure in itself. Today, I want to share my experience with the “Calm Painting.”
So, first things first, I had to find this shady fox named Redd. This guy is the only one selling paintings in the game, and half the time, he’s trying to scam you with fakes. He shows up on his boat, the “Treasure Trawler,” at the secret beach on my island. But, it’s random when he appears, which is kind of annoying. After the recent game update, he also started showing up at Harv’s Island, which makes things a bit easier since you can check two pieces of art at a time.

I finally got Redd on my island. I ran to his boat, all excited to see what he had. He had a few paintings, and I was looking for the “Calm Painting” specifically. It’s based on “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” by Georges-Pierre Seurat. A classic.
Now, here’s the good part. Apparently, the “Calm Painting” is always genuine. That’s right, no fakes! I felt such relief. I’ve been burned by Redd so many times before with other paintings.
Here’s how I got it:
- Waited for Redd: This was the hardest part, honestly. Just had to play the game and wait for him to randomly show up.
- Checked Harv’s Island: After the update, I started checking Harv’s Island too, just in case Redd was there. It’s a good way to see more art options.
- Found the Painting: When I finally found Redd, I checked all the paintings he had.
- Bought the Calm Painting: Since the “Calm Painting” is always real, I bought it without any worries. It cost me 4.
- Donated to the Museum: The next day, I got the painting in the mail. I took it straight to Blathers at the museum. He was super happy to add it to the collection.
It was such a good feeling to finally donate the “Calm Painting.” Blathers gave his usual speech about the art, and I felt a sense of accomplishment. It’s just a small thing in the game, but it made my day.
If you’re also trying to complete your art collection in Animal Crossing, just be patient with Redd. It takes time, but it’s worth it. And remember, the “Calm Painting” is always genuine, so you don’t have to stress about that one!
