Okay, so here’s my experience building a killer Devil Dinosaur deck in Marvel Snap.
I gotta say, I’ve been hooked on Marvel Snap lately, it’s just so much fun. The other day, I thought, “Let’s mess around with Devil Dinosaur.” This guy, Dino, is awesome in Pool 1. He gets stronger for every card in your hand. So, I set out to build a deck around him.

First off, I knew I needed Moon Girl. She’s a no-brainer, right? Duplicating your hand? Yes, please! That’s just more power for Dino. I also threw in Medusa. She’s pretty solid, especially if you drop her in the middle location, she is a good card.
I started playing a few games, trying different things out. Some matches were rough, you know? People have some crazy counters. I realized pretty quickly that you gotta watch out for decks that mess with your hand size. But the real fun began when I started to get a feel for the strategy.
- I started focusing on keeping my hand full.
- Using Moon Girl to double up became a key move.
- Figuring out the best time to drop Dino was crucial.
I remember this one game, I had a hand full of cards, and by Turn 5, my Dino was a beast. My opponent didn’t see it coming. They had some strong cards, sure, but nothing that could deal with a powered-up Dino. Winning that match felt amazing.
Now, here are a few cards I experimented with: Mantis, Cable, Odin, Onslaught, and Sunspot. They all have their moments. Mantis and Cable are great for messing with your opponent, and Odin can re-trigger some cool effects. Onslaught, well, he can make Dino even scarier. Sunspot is just a solid card to have around, especially if you have energy to spare.
But let me tell you, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. There were times I got totally wrecked. Some decks are just built to counter Dino, and it’s frustrating. Like, there’s this one card, I can’t remember the name, but it completely ruins the whole “big hand” strategy. It’s annoying, but hey, that’s the game, right?
In the end, I managed to climb up a few ranks with this Dino deck. It’s not perfect, and it’s definitely in Tier C, but it’s fun as hell. I love the feeling of dropping a massive Dino on the board and watching my opponent scramble. And it’s not just about Dino; this deck has other ways to win, which makes it even better. But man, those tough losses, they stick with you. I still remember getting completely shut down by some control deck. It was brutal. I learned a lot from those defeats, though.
So yeah, that’s my experience with building a Devil Dinosaur deck. It’s been a wild ride, with ups and downs. I’m still tinkering with it, trying to make it even better. If you’re into Marvel Snap, give Dino a try. It’s a blast!
