Okay, so, I’ve been trying to get my hands on some Heung-Min Son cards. You know, Sonny from Spurs? Yeah, that guy. I wanted to see what’s out there, maybe start a little collection.
First off, I did a bit of digging online. Just wanted to see what kind of cards even exist for him. Turns out, there’s a ton! Like, hundreds. I saw some numbers tossed around, like 284, or even 2560. It’s honestly a bit overwhelming.
I started by looking at some of his older cards. I saw that his rookie season was way back in 2011 when he was with Hamburger SV. Apparently, there’s at least one rookie card from back then. That would be a cool one to find.
Then I looked into how valuable these things can be. Some of the most expensive ones are from like, 2018? That seems to be when he was really making waves. I guess the more popular he got, the more valuable his cards became.
- Rookie Card (2011) – This one’s from his early days at Hamburger SV. It would be awesome to add this to the collection.
- Ultimate Team Cards – He’s had a bunch of these, starting with a 73 rating in FUT 12. The highest one I saw was a crazy 99 rating!
- 2021-22 Donruss – Beautiful Game Autographs – I saw a couple of versions of this one, a Red and a Gold Laser. It’s got his autograph on it, which is pretty neat.

I also found some websites that track the prices of these cards. It looks like you can even subscribe to get updates on the latest values. Kind of like the stock market, but for football cards!
But here’s the thing, all this info is cool, but I also found a forum and that’s where the real fun is. Other collectors are showing off their Son cards, talking about their favorites, even ranking them. It’s like a whole community around this stuff.
I even saw some people talking about how Sonny might be leaving Spurs soon. Apparently, his contract is up at the end of the season. If he goes to another club, I wonder how that will affect the value of his cards.
Anyway, I’m still just getting started, but it’s been a fun little project so far. I’m hoping to snag a few cool Son cards soon and maybe even trade with some other collectors. I found a lot of his cards online, and I’m thinking of getting a few. It’s just cool to see all the different designs and to know that other people are into this stuff too. It’s more than just cards, it’s like a piece of football history, you know?
