Alright, so I’ve been grinding away at Pokemon Go lately, and I gotta tell you, figuring out the best movesets for each Pokemon is a whole thing. Seriously, it’s like a puzzle within a puzzle. I started out just catching whatever I could find, you know, the usual Pidgeys and Rattatas.
But then, I started getting into battles, and let me tell you, my Pokemon were getting wrecked. I realized I needed to up my game. So, I started digging around, looking for any info I could find on these “best movesets.”

- First thing I did? I checked out a few websites and forums. You wouldn’t believe the amount of info out there. It’s nuts! People really get into this stuff. There was a mention of some “Paid Timed Research” thing, but I passed on that. I’m not paying real cash for this.
- Then, I started experimenting. I’d catch a bunch of the same Pokemon and try out different move combinations. Let’s just say, some were… not great. Like, really not great. I remember this one time, I thought I had a killer combo, and my Pokemon just kept fainting. It was embarrassing.
- I also tried powering up some of my stronger Pokemon. Like, I had this one Blastoise that I thought was gonna be a beast. Pumped a ton of Stardust and Candies into it. Turns out, even with all that power, if you don’t have the right moves, it’s still pretty useless. Someone mentioned “powering up every Legendary” but that sounded like a lot of work.
There was this thing about catching Ditto. Man, that was a pain. It said somewhere that Ditto can “only be found in the wild.” Yeah, no kidding! I spent days trying to find that little blob. Finally caught one though, felt like a huge win.
I saw some talk about “Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Global.” Sounds like a big event, maybe I’ll check it out. And there was something about a “Holiday Part 2” and “Collection Challenges” ending on “December 27th at 8pm.” I’ve got to hurry on those challenges, I guess.
Finding the best moves is like a part-time job
It’s a lot of trial and error, honestly. But it’s also kinda fun, in a weird way. Like, you’re slowly figuring out the secrets of each Pokemon. And when you finally get that perfect moveset, and your Pokemon starts winning battles, it’s a pretty good feeling. I saw this line somewhere, “You want to be the very best, right?” And yeah, I guess I do. So, I’m going to keep at it. Trying to build up the “very best Pokemon Go Pokemon” team I can.
So yeah, that’s where I’m at with this whole Pokemon Go moveset thing. It’s a journey, that’s for sure. But hey, I’m learning a lot, and my Pokemon are definitely getting stronger. If you’re just starting out, my advice is to just experiment, read up a bit, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. You’ll figure it out eventually. And if you see me out there battling, don’t be a stranger, come say hi!
