This here Retro Cup in that Pokemon Go, it’s a thing, ain’t it? Gotta catch them little monsters, they say. My grandson, he’s always on about it. Says it’s a special kinda fightin’ thing, this Retro Cup.
Retro Cup, What’s the Big Deal?
They got all these rules, makes it hard for an old lady like me to keep up. But I try, for the boy’s sake. He says it’s like them other cups they got, but different. Retro Cup Pokemon Go, that’s what he keeps sayin’.
You gotta pick your best monsters, but they gotta be special for this here Retro Cup. Some folks say, this one team, Clodsire, Primeape, and Driftblim is the best. I don’t know about all that, sounds like a mouthful to me. They got all these different attacks, these Pokemon, different types, makes my head spin.
Catchin’ Them Pokemon
- Spin that ball round and round, they say. Make it sparkle, then throw it.
- Gotta throw it kinda sideways, like you’re bowlin’ but not really.
- They say it helps you catch ’em better. More chance or somethin’.
My grandson, he’s real good at it. Me, not so much. My fingers ain’t what they used to be. But I seen him do it. Spin that Pokeball, make it sparkle, then flick it off to the side. He catches lots of them Pokemon that way. It’s a sight to see, I tell ya.
Playin’ Nice and Safe
Now, they tell ya, when you’re out there lookin’ for them Pokemon, be careful. Don’t go where you ain’t supposed to. Don’t be botherin’ folks. And watch where you’re goin’! Don’t want to be walkin’ into a tree or somethin’. These young folks, they get so caught up in the game, they forget to look around.
And don’t be playin’ while you’re drivin’! That’s just plain foolish. Keep your eyes on the road, not on that phone. No Pokemon is worth gettin’ in a wreck over. My grandson, he knows better than that. I made sure of it.
Rank 20 and Legendary Pokemon
They talk about this Rank 20 thing. If you get to Rank 20, you can catch some special Pokemon, they say. Rare ones. Legendary, they call ’em. I don’t know what’s so legendary about ’em, but the boy, he sure gets excited about it. Best Retro Cup team Pokemon Go, that is what he want to know.
They say you gotta get to Rank 20 quick, no dilly-dallyin’. There’s these special Pokemon, they show up sometimes, for a little while, then they’re gone. Like that Rayquaza one. They say he won’t be around in this Retro Cup thing. But who knows, these things change all the time.

This Retro Cup Pokemon Go, it’s got folks all riled up. They’re runnin’ around, lookin’ at their phones, tryin’ to catch these little monsters. It’s a craze, I tell ya. A real craze. Back in my day, we played outside, with sticks and rocks. Didn’t need no fancy phones to have fun.
